SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING RESPONSES TO AND DRAWINGS FOR MEDIA CONTENT
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine that an interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed. An initiation of a response to the media content item can be detected. The response to the media content item can be created. The response can be transmitted, at least in part, to a sender of the media content item.
1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
determining, by a computing system, that an interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed;
detecting, by the computing system, an initiation of a response to the media content item;
creating, by the computing system, the response to the media content item; and
transmitting, by the computing system, at least in part, the response to a sender of the media content item.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the determining that the interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed further comprises:
determining that a recipient user is viewing an unobscured version of the interactively exchanged media content item.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the initiation of the response to the media content item is associated with a touch gesture performed with respect to the media content item.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the creating of the response to the media content item comprises at least one of generating an image to be included in the response, recording a video to be included in the response, or inputting text to be included in the response.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
transmitting the media content item to the sender, wherein the media content item is transmitted in conjunction with the transmitting of the response.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
toggling, based on one or more user commands, between at least one of a full view of the media content item or a view of the response.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 6 , wherein toggling to the view of the response causes the media content item to be displayed in a first portion of a split display and the view of the response to be displayed in a second portion of the split display.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein a playback of the response is repeated.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the response to the media content item includes at least one of a reaction to an unobscured version of the media content item or a reaction to an obscured version of the media content item.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving a second response from the sender as a reaction to the response transmitted to the sender.
11 . A system comprising:
at least one processor; and
a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to perform:
determining that an interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed;
detecting an initiation of a response to the media content item;
creating the response to the media content item; and
transmitting at least in part, the response to a sender of the media content item.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the determining that the interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed further comprises:
determining that a recipient user is viewing an unobscured version of the interactively exchanged media content item.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the creating of the response to the media content item comprises at least one of generating an image to be included in the response, recording a video to be included in the response, or inputting text to be included in the response.
14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the instructions cause the system to further perform:
toggling, based on one or more user commands, between at least one of a full view of the media content item or a view of the response.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the response to the media content item includes at least one of a reaction to an unobscured version of the media content item or a reaction to an obscured version of the media content item.
16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform:
determining that an interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed;
detecting an initiation of a response to the media content item;
creating the response to the media content item; and
transmitting at least in part, the response to a sender of the media content item.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the determining that the interactively exchanged media content item is being accessed further comprises:
determining that a recipient user is viewing an unobscured version of the interactively exchanged media content item.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the creating of the response to the media content item comprises at least one of generating an image to be included in the response, recording a video to be included in the response, or inputting text to be included in the response.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions cause the computing system to further perform:
toggling, based on one or more user commands, between at least one of a full view of the media content item or a view of the response.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the response to the media content item includes at least one of a reaction to an unobscured version of the media content item or a reaction to an obscured version of the media content item.
