Abstract

Systems and methods allow a user to share information with an augmented reality device. In one implementation, a system for interacting with and sharing information between a plurality of users of a corresponding plurality of wearable devices includes a network interface and at least one processing device. The at least one processing device is configured to receive, via the network interface, information from a first wearable device; select from the plurality of wearable devices one or more designated wearable devices to receive the information; and send, via the network interface, the information to the one or more designated wearable devices.

Claims (30)

1 . A system for interacting with and sharing information between a plurality of users of a corresponding plurality of wearable devices, the system comprising:

a network interface; and

at least one processing device associated with the system, the at least one processing device being configured to:

receive, via the network interface, information from a first wearable device;

select from the plurality of wearable devices one or more designated wearable devices to receive the information; and

send, via the network interface, the information to the one or more designated wearable devices.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the network interface includes one or more of an Internet connection, a cellular connection, a WAN connection, or a LAN connection.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the information includes image data retrieved from at least one image capture device associated with the first wearable device.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processing device is further configured to cause the information sent to the designated devices to be shown on a display associated with each of the designated devices.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the display associated with each of the designated devices includes glasses, and the glasses include one or more lenses configured to display the information in a semi-transparent form.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the information includes audio data retrieved from at least one audio device associated with the first wearable device.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more designated wearable devices are selected based on a predetermined setting retrieved over the network interface.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more designated wearable devices are selected based on an analysis of user profiles of the plurality of users.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the analysis of user profiles includes identifying a commonality of the plurality of users.

10 . A method for interacting with and sharing information between a plurality of users of a corresponding plurality of wearable devices, the method comprising:

receiving, via a network interface, information from a first wearable device;

selecting from the plurality of wearable devices one or more designated wearable devices to receive the information; and

sending, via the network interface, the information to the one or more designated wearable devices.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the network interface includes one or more of an Internet connection, a cellular connection, a WAN connection, or a LAN connection.

12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the information includes image data retrieved from at least one image capture device associated with the first wearable device.

13 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising causing the information sent to the designated devices to be shown on a display associated with each of the designated devices.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein comprising causing the information sent to the designated devices to be shown on a display associated with each of the designated devices includes displaying the information in a semi-transparent form.

15 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the information includes audio data retrieved from at least one audio device associated with the first wearable device.

16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the one or more designated wearable devices are selected based on a predetermined setting retrieved over the network interface.

17 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the one or more designated wearable devices are selected based on an analysis of user profiles of the plurality of users.

18 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the analysis of user profiles includes identifying a commonality of the plurality of users.

19 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program instructions executable by at least one processor to perform a method for interacting with and sharing information between a plurality of users of a corresponding plurality of wearable devices, the method comprising:

receiving information from a first wearable device;

selecting from the plurality of wearable devices one or more designated wearable devices to receive the information; and

sending the information to the one or more designated wearable devices.
