Abstract

The present application discloses a light-emitting device including a first support structure having a first surface, a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged on the first surface, and a first adhesive layer arranged on the first support structure. Each light-emitting element has a side wall, a bottom surface, a first electrode pad, and a second electrode pad arranged on the bottom surface. The first adhesive layer surrounds the side wall and does not directly contact the bottom surface. The first support structure includes a plurality of through holes located on positions corresponding to the first electrode pad and the second electrode pad.

Claims (19)

1. A light-emitting device, comprising:

a first supporting structure having a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a plurality of through holes;

a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element arranged on the first surface, wherein the first light-emitting element comprises a side wall, a bottom surface, a first electrode pad arranged on the bottom surface, and a second electrode pad arranged on the bottom surface;

a second supporting structure having a topmost end, arranged on the first surface and surrounding the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element, wherein the second supporting structure is configured to prevent light emitted from the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element from interfering with each other; and

a layer contacting the side wall of the first light-emitting element;

wherein the second supporting structure has a width at the topmost end, the width is larger than those of the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element.

2. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , further comprising a first adhesive layer which comprises a first wavelength converting material and covers the first light-emitting element.

3. The light-emitting device according to claim 2 , wherein the first adhesive layer comprises a second part having a second wavelength converting material and covers the second light-emitting element without covering the first light-emitting element.

4. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , further comprising a second adhesive layer arranged between the bottom surface and the first supporting structure.

5. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of through holes extends from the first surface to the second surface.

6. The light-emitting device according to claim 5 , further comprising a conductive structure formed within the through holes.

7. The light-emitting device according to claim 6 , further comprising a circuit structure arranged on the second surface and electrically connected to the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element by the plurality of conductive structures.

8. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first light-emitting element is configured to emit an incoherent light with a different dominant wavelength from the second light-emitting element.

9. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , further comprising a first adhesive layer is filled in an uniform space between the side wall of the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element.

10. The light-emitting device according to claim 9 , wherein the first adhesive layer continuously covers the first light-emitting element, the second supporting structure and the second light-emitting element.

11. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the layer surrounds the first light-emitting element and spaced apart from the second supporting structure.

12. The light-emitting device according to claim 2 , wherein the layer is arranged between the side wall and the first adhesive layer.

13. The light-emitting device according to claim 2 , wherein the first adhesive layer covers the second supporting structure, the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element.

14. The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first supporting structure and the second supporting structure comprise a same material.
