2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the treating comprises treating animals by applying said amine derivative or salt thereof or by applying said composition to all or part of the body surface of the animals.

3. A method for controlling agricultural/horticultural pests, comprising the step of treating a subject in need of treatment with an effective amount of an amine derivative or a salt thereof or with a composition comprising an effective amount of the amine derivative or salt thereof and at least one of a carrier and an adjuvant, wherein the amine derivative is N-[1-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methyl)pyridine-2(1H)-ylidene]-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide,

wherein the agricultural/horticultural pest is at least one selected from the group consisting of common cutworm, diamondback moth, codling moth, pests belonging to the genus Helicoverpa , green peach aphid, cotton aphid, grain aphid, green rice leafhopper, tea green leafhopper, small brown planthopper, brown rice planthopper, white-backed rice planthopper, white-spotted bug, southern green stink bug, rice leaf bug, greenhouse whitefly, Pseudococcus comstocki , Western corn root worm, Southern corn root worm, cucurbit leaf beetle, Colorado potato beetle, housefly, and Western flower thrips.

4. The method according to claim 3 , wherein the treating comprises treating plant seeds, roots, tubers, bulbs, rhizomes, soil, a nutrient solution in nutriculture, a solid culture medium in nutriculture, or a carrier for growing plants.

5. A method for controlling German cockroaches, comprising the step of treating a subject in need of treatment with an effective amount of an amine derivative or a salt thereof or with a composition comprising an effective amount of the amine derivative or salt thereof and at least one of a carrier and an adjuvant, wherein the amine derivative is N-[1-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methyl)pyridin-2(1H)-ylidene]-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide.
