Abstract

A client device identifies an action being performed using a first application in the client device. The client device identifies that the first application is not authorized to be used to perform the action. In response, the client device identifies a second application that is authorized to perform the action. The client device also facilitates the second application being used to perform the action.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating a new email message within the second application into which the text is copied.

8. A non-transitory computer-readable medium embodying program instructions executable in a client device, the program instructions being configured to cause the client device to at least:

identify an action being performed using a first application in the client device, the first application comprising a first email client and the action comprising text entry into the first application;

determine whether the first application is authorized to be used to perform the action by determining whether text within the text entry appears within a list of words or phrases that are indicative of enterprise content; and

in response to determining that the first application is not authorized to be used to perform the action, intercepting the action to cause an email to be sent using the first application that includes the text, initiating, using the client device, a remedial action, the remedial action comprising at least:

identifying a second application that is authorized to be used to send the email, wherein the second application comprises a second email client; and

in response to identifying the second application, copying the text into a text entry field within the second application.

9. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the program instructions are further configured to cause the client device to at least identify that the email is associated with an enterprise based upon the text being indicative of enterprise content.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the email is identified to be associated with the enterprise by identifying that a body or a subject of the email comprises the text indicative of the enterprise content.
