Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to providing see-through computer display optics.

Claims (12)

1. A head-worn computer, comprising:

a see-through computer display, wherein a user can see a surrounding environment through the see-through computer display and see computer generated content;

the see-through computer display positioned in the head-worn computer such that an opaque portion of the see-through computer display is above a pupil of the user and below a brow line of the user when wearing the head-worn display;

a tinted lens positioned to conceal at least a portion of the opaque portion of the see-through computer, wherein the tinted lens includes an upper area for concealment that is low in transmission and a lower area for the see-through view that is high in transmission; and

the tinted lens including a magnetic attachment system adapted to facilitate removal and replacement of the lens from the head-worn computer;

wherein the see-through display includes a multiply folded optical arrangement, wherein the optical arrangement is twisted such that an upper portion follows a head-wrapping form of the head-worn computer while still maintaining an image light optical path in line with an eye of the user.

2. A head-worn computer, comprising:

a see-through computer display, wherein a user can see a surrounding environment through the see-through computer display and see computer generated content;

the see-through computer display positioned in the head-worn computer such that an opaque portion of the see-through computer display is above a pupil of the user and below a brow line of the user when wearing the head-worn display;

a tinted lens positioned to conceal at least a portion of the opaque portion of the see-through computer, wherein the tinted lens includes an upper area for concealment that is low in transmission and a lower area for the see-through view that is high in transmission; and

the tinted lens including a magnetic attachment system adapted to facilitate removal and replacement of the lens from the head-worn computer;

wherein an electronics board adapted to operate at least a portion of the head-worn computer is positioned vertically and is at least in part concealed by the upper area of the tinted lens.
