Abstract

A developing cartridge includes a casing, a developer-carrying member, a supply member, a developing electrode, a supply electrode, and an insulating member. The casing is configured to accommodate therein developer. The developer-carrying member is configured to rotate about a rotational axis and carry the developer thereon. The supply member is configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member. The developing electrode is configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member. The supply electrode is configured to be electrically connected to the supply member. The insulating member insulates the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other. The developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode are overlapped in this order in an axial direction of the rotational axis.

Claims (89)

1. A developing cartridge comprising:

a casing configured to accommodate therein developer;

a developer-carrying member configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in an axial direction and carry the developer thereon;

a supply member configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member;

a developing electrode configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member, the developing electrode comprising a developing contact configured to contact an external developing electrode;

a supply electrode configured to be electrically connected to the supply member, the supply electrode comprising a supply contact configured to contact an external supply electrode, the supply contact being arranged to confront the developing contact with a gap therebetween; and

an insulating member insulating the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other, the insulating member comprising an insulating part arranged between the developing contact and the supply contact, the insulating part extending farther outward than the developing contact and the supply contact,

wherein the developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode are overlapped in this order in the axial direction.

2. The developing cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the insulating member functions as a bearing member configured to rotatably support at least one of the developer-carrying member and the supply member.

3. The developing cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the developing electrode comprises a developing-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the supply electrode comprises a supply-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the insulating member comprises a contact-receiving part extending in the axial direction and configured to contact the developing-side contact part and the supply-side contact part.

4. A developing cartridge comprising:

a casing configured to accommodate therein developer;

a developer-carrying member configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in an axial direction and carry the developer thereon;

a supply member configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member;

a developing electrode configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member;

a supply electrode configured to be electrically connected to the supply member;

an insulating member insulating the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other; and

a screw in common for fixing the developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode to the casing,

wherein the developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode are overlapped in this order in the axial direction.

5. The developing cartridge according to claim 4 , wherein the insulating member comprises an insertion portion into which the screw is inserted,

wherein the casing comprises a threaded part into which the screw is screwed.

6. The developing cartridge according to claim 4 , wherein the screw is in contact with the insertion portion and the threaded part but away from the developing electrode and the supply electrode.

7. The developing cartridge according to claim 5 , wherein the insertion portion has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction,

wherein the developing electrode is formed with a developing-side insertion hole into which the insertion portion is inserted.

8. The developing cartridge according to claim 5 , wherein the threaded part has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction,

wherein the supply electrode is formed with a supply-side insertion hole into which the threaded part is inserted.

9. The developing cartridge according to claim 5 , wherein the insulating member comprises a bearing part independently from the insertion portion, the bearing part rotatably supporting the developer-carrying member.

10. The developing cartridge according to claim 5 , wherein the insertion portion has an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the threaded part.

11. The developing cartridge according to claim 4 , wherein the insulating member functions as a bearing member configured to rotatably support at least one of the developer-carrying member and the supply member.

12. The developing cartridge according to claim 4 , wherein the developing electrode comprises a developing-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the supply electrode comprises a supply-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the insulating member comprises a contact-receiving part extending in the axial direction and configured to contact the developing-side contact part and the supply-side contact part.

13. A developing cartridge comprising:

a casing configured to accommodate therein developer;

a developer-carrying member configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in an axial direction and carry the developer thereon;

a supply member configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member;

a developing electrode configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member;

a supply electrode configured to be electrically connected to the supply member; and

an insulating member insulating the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other, the insulating member comprising a guide part configured to guide an attachment of the developing cartridge relative to an external device,

wherein the developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode are overlapped in this order in the axial direction.

14. The developing cartridge according to claim 13 , wherein the insulating member functions as a bearing member configured to rotatably support at least one of the developer-carrying member and the supply member.

15. The developing cartridge according to claim 13 , wherein the developing electrode comprises a developing-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the supply electrode comprises a supply-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the insulating member comprises a contact-receiving part extending in the axial direction and configured to contact the developing-side contact part and the supply-side contact part.

16. A developing cartridge comprising:

a casing configured to accommodate therein developer;

a developer-carrying member configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in an axial direction and carry the developer thereon;

a supply member configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member;

a developing electrode configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member, the developing electrode comprising a developing contact configured to contact an external developing electrode;

a supply electrode configured to be electrically connected to the supply member and arranged to confront the developing electrode in the axial direction with a gap therebetween, the supply electrode comprising a supply contact configured to contact an external supply electrode, the supply contact being arranged to confront the developing contact with a gap therebetween; and

an insulating member insulating the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other and arranged between the developing electrode and the supply electrode, the insulating member comprising an insulating part arranged between the developing contact and the supply contact, the insulating part extending farther outward than the developing contact and the supply contact.

17. The developing cartridge according to claim 16 , wherein the insulating member functions as a bearing member configured to rotatably support at least one of the developer-carrying member and the supply member.

18. The developing cartridge according to claim 16 , wherein the developing electrode comprises a developing-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the supply electrode comprises a supply-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the insulating member comprises a contact-receiving part extending in the axial direction and configured to contact the developing-side contact part and the supply-side contact part.

19. A developing cartridge comprising:

a casing configured to accommodate therein developer;

a developer-carrying member configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in an axial direction and carry the developer thereon;

a supply member configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member;

a developing electrode configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member;

a supply electrode configured to be electrically connected to the supply member and arranged to confront the developing electrode in the axial direction with a gap therebetween;

an insulating member insulating the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other and arranged between the developing electrode and the supply electrode; and

a screw in common for fixing the developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode to the casing.

20. The developing cartridge according to claim 19 , wherein the developing electrode comprises a developing-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the supply electrode comprises a supply-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the insulating member comprises a contact-receiving part extending in the axial direction and configured to contact the developing-side contact part and the supply-side contact part.

21. The developing cartridge according to claim 19 , wherein the insulating member functions as a bearing member configured to rotatably support at least one of the developer-carrying member and the supply member.

22. The developing cartridge according to claim 19 , wherein the insulating member comprises an insertion portion into which the screw is inserted,

wherein the casing comprises a threaded part into which the screw is screwed.

23. The developing cartridge according to claim 22 , wherein the insertion portion has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction,

wherein the developing electrode is formed with a developing-side insertion hole into which the insertion portion is inserted.

24. The developing cartridge according to claim 22 , wherein the threaded part has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction,

wherein the supply electrode is formed with a supply-side insertion hole into which the threaded part is inserted.

25. The developing cartridge according to claim 22 , wherein the insulating member comprises a bearing part independently from the insertion portion, the bearing part rotatably supporting the developer-carrying member.

26. The developing cartridge according to claim 22 , wherein the screw is in contact with the insertion portion and the threaded part but away from the developing electrode and the supply electrode.

27. The developing cartridge according to claim 22 , wherein the insertion portion has an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the threaded part.

28. A developing cartridge comprising:

a casing configured to accommodate therein developer;

a developer-carrying member configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in an axial direction and carry the developer thereon;

a supply member configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member;

a developing electrode configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member;

a supply electrode configured to be electrically connected to the supply member and arranged to confront the developing electrode in the axial direction with a gap therebetween; and

an insulating member insulating the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other and arranged between the developing electrode and the supply electrode, the insulating member comprising a guide part configured to guide an attachment of the developing cartridge relative to an external device.

29. The developing cartridge according to claim 28 , wherein the developing electrode comprises a developing-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the supply electrode comprises a supply-side contact part extending in the axial direction, and

wherein the insulating member comprises a contact-receiving part extending in the axial direction and configured to contact the developing-side contact part and the supply-side contact part.

30. The developing cartridge according to claim 28 , wherein the insulating member functions as a bearing member configured to rotatably support at least one of the developer-carrying member and the supply member.
