View Patent ↗The present invention relates to substituted azoanthracene derivatives and intermediates for the preparation thereof. The substituted azoanthracene derivatives and associated intermediates may be useful for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment or prevention of diseases, disorders, and conditions wherein modulation of the human GLP-1 receptor is beneficial.
1. A compound of the formula:
wherein
R 1 is hydrogen or methyl, and
R 2 is —CO 2 -tert-butyl, or -1-(phenyl)-propyl.
2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein R 2 is —(R)-1-phenyl-propyl.
3. The compound of claim 1 , wherein R 2 is —(S)-1-phenyl-propyl.
4. A compound of the formula:
wherein
R 1 is methyl, and
R 2 is hydrogen or —CO 2 -tert-butyl.
5. A compound of the formula:
wherein
R 1 is methyl, and
R 2 is —CO 2 -tert-butyl or -1-(phenyl)-propyl.
6. The compound of claim 5 , wherein R 2 is —(R)-1-phenyl-propyl.
7. The compound of claim 5 , wherein R 2 is —(S)-1-phenyl-propyl.
8. A compound of the formula:
wherein
R 1 is methyl, and
R 2 is -1-(phenyl)-propyl.
9. The compound of claim 8 , wherein R 2 is —(R)-1-phenyl-propyl.
10. The compound of claim 8 , wherein R 2 is —(S)-1-phenyl-propyl.
