Abstract

Disclosed embodiments include methods of removing carbon dioxide from combustion gas from an engine of a vehicle, systems for removing carbon dioxide from combustion gas from an engine of a vehicle, vehicles, methods of managing carbon dioxide emissions from an engine of a vehicle, and computer software program products for managing carbon dioxide emissions from an engine of a vehicle.

Claims (45)

1. A method comprising:

collecting a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material; and

providing an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein collecting a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material is performed at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein providing an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel is performed at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

removing the first vessel from a vehicle.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle includes:

installing the empty second vessel on the vehicle from which the first vessel was removed.

7. A method comprising:

collecting, at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas, a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material; and

providing, at the facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material, an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

removing the first vessel from a vehicle.

9. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle includes:

installing the empty second vessel on the vehicle from which the first vessel was removed.

11. A method comprising:

removing from a vehicle a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material;

collecting, at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material, the first vessel;

providing, at the facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material, an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel; and

installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle includes:

installing the empty second vessel on the vehicle from which the first vessel was removed.

13. A method comprising:

providing a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material; and

receiving an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein providing a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material is performed at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material.

15. The method of claim 13 , wherein receiving an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel is performed at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas.

16. The method of claim 13 , further comprising:

removing the first vessel from a vehicle.

17. The method of claim 13 , further comprising:

installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle includes:

installing the empty second vessel on the vehicle from which the first vessel was removed.

19. A method comprising:

removing from a vehicle a first vessel that contains carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material;

providing, at a facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material, the first vessel;

receiving, at the facility that accepts containers that contain carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas and separated from carbon dioxide removal material, an empty second vessel configured to receive carbon associated with carbon dioxide removed from combustion gas in exchange for the first vessel; and

installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle.

20. The method of claim 19 , wherein installing the empty second vessel on a vehicle includes:

installing the empty second vessel on the vehicle from which the first vessel was removed.
