Abstract

An image generating device includes a background image acquirer that acquires an image of a background on which an image of an object is to be superimposed, a color extractor that extracts a color about one or a plurality of places in the image of the background, and a light source decider that decides the color of light output by a light source that illuminates the object based on the color extracted about the one or plurality of places. The image generating device further includes a drawing section that draws the image of the object based on the decided color of the light of the light source and an output image generator that generates an output image obtained by superimposing the image of the object on the image of the background.

Claims (29)

1. An image generating device comprising:

a background image acquirer configured to acquire an image of a background on which an image of an object is to be superimposed;

a color extractor configured to extract a color about one or a plurality of places in the image of the background;

a light source decider configured to decide a color of light output by a light source that illuminates the object based on the color extracted about the one or plurality of places;

a drawing section configured to draw the image of the object based on the decided color of the light of the light source; and

an output image generator configured to generate an output image obtained by superimposing the image of the object on the image of the background,

wherein the light source decider decides a color of light output by a light source disposed on a front side of the object based further on brightness of an image acquired by a camera different from a camera to shoot the image of the background.

2. The image generating device according to claim 1 , further comprising

a position decider configured to decide positions of the plurality of places.

3. The image generating device according to claim 2 , further comprising

an object decider configured to decide a display form of the object based on the image of the background,

wherein the position decider decides the positions of the plurality of places based on the decided display form of the object.

4. The image generating device according to claim 2 , wherein

the position decider decides the positions of the plurality of places in such a manner that distance between a place at an endmost position on a predetermined side among the plurality of places and a place at an endmost position on an opposite side to the predetermined side becomes shorter as the object gets farther away from a point of sight.

5. The image generating device according to claim 1 , wherein

the drawing section corrects a color of the drawn object based on the color of the one or plurality of places extracted by the color extractor.

6. An image generating method comprising:

acquiring an image of a background on which an image of an object is to be superimposed;

extracting a color about one or a plurality of places in the image of the background;

deciding a color of light output by a light source that illuminates the object based on the color extracted about the one or plurality of places;

drawing the image of the object based on the decided color of the light of the light source; and

generating an output image obtained by superimposing the image of the object on the image of the background,

wherein a color of light output by a light source disposed on a front side of the object is based further on brightness of an image acquired by a camera different from a camera to shoot the image of the background.

7. A non-transitory computer-readable information storage medium storing a program for a computer, the program comprising:

acquiring an image of a background on which an image of an object is to be superimposed;

extracting a color about one or a plurality of places in the image of the background;

deciding a color of light output by a light source that illuminates the object based on the color extracted about the one or plurality of places;

drawing the image of the object based on the decided color of the light of the light source; and

generating an output image obtained by superimposing the image of the object on the image of the background, wherein a color of light output by a light source disposed on a front side of the object is based further on brightness of an image acquired by a camera different from a camera to shoot the image of the background.
