Abstract

A fuel additive imparting high lubricity to gasoline and diesel fuels while concurrently increasing miles and reducing emissions. The fuel additive is formed of a plurality of individual components having individual and a combined synergistic effect along with components increasing fuel lubricity which are mixed with a liquid fuel-soluble carrier and added to the fuel supply of internal combustion engines.

Claims (20)

1 - 2 . (canceled)

3 . A fuel additive mixture for improving engine lubricity comprising:

9%-11% of a first portion, said first portion including a mix by total volume of 36%-56% Acetophenone, 10%-15% Diethylene ether, 8%-12% Dibutyl Ether, 15%-17% Ethylhexanol 2, 6%-14% Ethylhexanoic Acid 2, and 0.5%-1.5% Diethyl Oxalate; and

the remainder being a second portion comprising a mixture by total volume of 52%-57% Organic or Synthetic Ethanol and 34%-38% Benzyl Alcohol; and

combining said fuel additive with diesel fuel;

wherein the ratio of diesel fuel to fuel additive is at least 10 gallons to one ounce.

4 . The fuel additive mixture of claim 3 , additionally comprising:

said first portion including additional mixture components, said extra mixture components in percentages of said mix by total volume of said first component including 1.5%-2.5% Polyisobutylene, 0.5%-1.5% Diethyl Phthalate, and 0.5% -2% Ethylcyclohexanol.

5 . The fuel additive mixture of claim 3 , further comprising that said mixture shall include 7.5% of the first component and 92.5% of the second component by volume.

6 . The fuel additive mixture of claim 3 , wherein said fist component mixture comprises at least 45% Acetophenone, at least 12.5% diethyl ether, 10% dibutyl ether, at least 11% 2-ethylhexanol, and at least 9.5% 2-ethylhexanoic acid.

7 . A method for improving fuel efficiency in a vehicle by adding a fuel additive to a diesel fuel usable for powering a vehicle, wherein said fuel additive comprises:

a first component which is a mixture comprising Acetophenone, diethyl ether, dibutyl ether, 2-ethylhexanol, 2-ethylhexanoic acid; and

a second component comprising a mixture by total volume of 52%-57% Ethanol and 34%-38.00% Benzyl Alcohol, and;

said first component and said second component mixed to comprise said fuel additive;

where 6-9% of a total volume of said fuel additive by volume is comprised of said first component.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein said first component comprises 41-51% Acetophenone, 10-15% Diethylether 8-12% Dibutyl ether, 15-17% 2-ethylhexanol, and 5-14% 2-ethylhexanoic acid.

9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein said fist component mixture comprises 45% Acetophenone, 12.5% diethyl ether, 10% dibutyl ether, 11% 2-ethylhexanol, and 9.5% 2-ethylhexanoic acid.

10 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising that the mixture shall include 7.4% of the first component and 92.6% of the second component by volume.

11 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising that the mixture shall include 7.5% of the first component and 92.5% of the second component by volume.

12 . The method of claim 7 , wherein said fist component mixture comprises at least 45% Acetophenone, at least 12.5% diethyl ether, at least 10% dibutyl ether, at least 11% 2-ethylhexanol, and at least 9.5% 2-ethylhexanoic acid.
