Cyclosporin compositions
A composition comprising from about 0.001% to about 0.4% cyclosporin A, a surfactant, and an oil having a specific gravity from 0.8 to 0.95 is disclosed herein.
1. A method of treating keratoconjunctivitis sicca, the method comprising administering a composition comprising about 0.001% cyclosporin A, a surfactant, and an oil selected from the group consisting of almond oil, corn oil, arachis oil, cottonseed oil, safflower oil, rosemary oil, peanut oil, peppermint oil, sunflower oil, and eucalyptus oil to a patient in need thereof, wherein said composition is an ophthalmically acceptable emulsion.
2. The method of claim 1 comprising almond oil.
3. The method of claim 1 comprising corn oil.
4. The method of claim 1 comprising arachis oil.
5. The method of claim 1 comprising cottonseed oil.
6. The method of claim 1 comprising safflower oil.
7. The method of claim 1 comprising rosemary oil.
8. The method of claim 1 comprising peanut oil.
9. The method of claim 1 comprising peppermint oil.
10. The method of claim 1 comprising sunflower oil.
11. The method of claim 1 comprising eucalyptus oil.
