Abstract

A tool for installing or uninstalling a segment of an inner housing of a turbomachine. The turbomachine includes an outer housing, at least partially surrounding an inner housing and a rotor, concentrically arranged within the inner housing. The rotor is equipped with a number of rotor grooves. The inner housing is divided at an essentially horizontal split plane into an upper segment and a lower segment. The tool includes a first portion insertable into any of the rotor grooves, and furthermore includes a second portion disposed at a distance from the first portion. This second portion is connectable to the lower segment of the inner housing.

Claims (15)

. A tool for installing or uninstalling a segment of an inner housing of a turbomachine, wherein this turbomachine includes an outer housing, at least partially surrounding an inner housing and a rotor, concentrically arranged within the inner housing, the rotor being equipped with a number of rotor grooves, and wherein the inner housing is divided at an essentially horizontal split plane into an upper segment and a lower segment, the tool comprising a first portion, this portion being insertable into any of said rotor grooves, and furthermore comprises a second portion, disposed at a distance from the first portion, this second portion being connectable to the lower segment of the inner housing.

. The tool according to claim 1 , wherein the first portion comprises a section that is complementarily designed to the contour of the rotor grooves.

. The tool according to claim 1 , wherein a section of the first portion is designed as a fir tree.

. The tool according to claim 1 , at least comprising a first portion, designed for insertion into any of the rotor grooves, a second portion, designed to be connected to a part of the lower segment of the inner housing, and a platform connecting said first portion with said second portion.

. The tool according to claim 4 , wherein the second portion comprises an essentially rectangular connection plate.

. The tool according to claim 5 , wherein the connection plate is essentially orthogonally joined to the platform.

. The tool according to claim 5 , wherein the platform and the connection plate do have the same width.

. The tool according to claim 4 , wherein the platform and the connection plate are supported by at least one stiffener.

. The tool according to claim 6 , wherein the at least one stiffener is a stiffening plate.

. The tool according to claim 6 , wherein the stiffening plate is joined to narrow sides of the platform and the connection plate.

. The tool according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion of tool is equipped with one or more through holes for a fastener.

. The tool according to claim 11 , wherein the fastener is a screwed bolt.

. The tool according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion is designed to be connected to a part of the lower segment of the inner housing.

. The tool according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion is designed to be connected to a dummy half ring, attached to the lower segment of the inner housing.

. The tool according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion is designed to be connected to a dummy segment, attached to the lower segment.
