Abstract

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of communicating traffic to a plurality of wireless devices. For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device to communicate one or more discovery messages during at least one Discovery Window (DW) of a NAN cluster including the NAN device; and communicate data within a data link group after the DW, the data link group including the NAN device and one or more NAN devices of the NAN cluster.

Claims (41)

1. An apparatus comprising logic and circuitry configured to cause a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device to:

communicate one or more discovery messages during at least one Discovery Window (DW) of a NAN cluster including said first NAN device; and

communicate data within a data link group after said DW, the data link group including said first NAN device and one or more NAN devices of the NAN cluster;

process a join request message from a second NAN device of the NAN cluster, the join request message to request to join the data link group; and

if the request to join tie data link group is accepted, transmit a new-member announcement to NAN devices of the data link group.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 configured to cause the first NAN device to form the data link group between the first NAN device and another NAN device of the NAN cluster.

3. The apparatus of claim 2 configured to cause the first NAN device to send to the another NAN device a join request from the first NAN device.

4. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein said join request from the first NAN device comprises capability information of said first NAN device.

5. The apparatus of claim 1 being-configured to cause the first NAN device to join the data link group.

6. The apparatus of claim 1 being-configured to cause the first NAN device to leave the data link group.

7. The apparatus of claim 1 being-configured to cause the first NAN device to second NAN device of the NAN cluster a join response message indicating if the request of the second NAN device to join the data link group is accepted or rejected.

8. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein said join response message comprises a group identifier of said data link group when the request to join the data link group is accepted.

9. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein said join response message comprises capability information of said first NAN device, and said join request message includes capability information of the second NAN device.

10. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said new-member announcement includes a Media Access Control (MAC) address of the second NAN device.

11. The apparatus of claim 1 comprising:

a radio to communicate the one or more discovery messages during the at least one DW, and to communicate the data.

12. The apparatus of claim 1 comprising one or more antennas, a memory, and a processor.

13. A system comprising a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device, the first NAN device comprising:

one or more antennas;

a memory;

a processor; and

a radio to communicate one or more discovery messages during at least one Discovery Window (DW) of a NAN cluster including said first NAN device, and to communicate data within a data link group after said DW, the data link group including said first NAN device and one or more NAN devices of the NAN cluster, the first NAN device to process a join request message from a second NAN device of the NAN cluster, the join request message to request to join the data link group, wherein, if the request to join the data link group is accepted, the first NAN device is to transmit a new-member announcement to NAN devices of the data link group.

14. The system of claim 13 , wherein said first NAN device is to form the data link group between the first NAN device and another NAN device of the NAN cluster.

15. The system of claim 13 , wherein said first NAN device is to join the data link group.

16. The system of claim 13 , wherein said first NAN device is to transmit to the second NAN device of the NAN cluster a join response message indicating if the request of the second NAN device to join the data link group is accepted or rejected.

17. A method to be performed at a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device, the method comprising:

communicating one or more discovery messages during at least one Discovery Window (DW) of a NAN cluster including said first NAN device; and

communicating data within a data link group after said DW, the data link group including said first NAN device and one or more NAN devices of the NAN cluster;

processing a join request message from a second NAN device of the NAN cluster, the join request message to request to join the data link group; and

if the request to join the data link group is accepted, transmitting a new-member announcement to NAN devices of the data link group.

18. The method of claim 17 comprising forming the data link group between the first NAN device and another NAN device of the NAN cluster.

19. The method of claim 17 comprising transmitting to the second NAN device of the NAN cluster a join response message indicating if the request from the second NAN device to join the data link group is accepted or rejected.

20. A product including one or more tangible computer-readable non-transitory storage media comprising computer-executable instructions operable to, when executed by at least one computer processor, enable the at least one computer processor to implement operations at a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device, the operations comprising:

communicating one or more discovery messages during at least one Discovery Window (DW) of a NAN cluster including said first NAN device; and

communicating data within a data link group after said DW, the data link group including said first NAN device and one or more NAN devices of the NAN cluster;

processing a join request message from a second NAN device of the NAN cluster, the join request message to request to join the data link group; and

if the request to join the data link group is accepted, transmitting a new-member announcement to NAN devices of the data link group.

21. The product of claim 20 , wherein the operations comprise forming the data link group between the first NAN device and another NAN device of the NAN cluster.

22. The product of claim 20 , wherein the operations comprise transmitting to the second NAN device of the NAN cluster a join response message indicating if the request from the second NAN device to join the data link group is accepted or rejected.

23. The product of claim 22 , wherein said join response message comprises a group identifier of said data link group when the request to join the data link group is accepted.

24. The product of claim 20 , wherein said new-member announcement includes a Media Access Control (MAC) address of the second NAN device.
