Terminal spacer
View Patent ↗A terminal spacer having a cylindrical shape is attached to the circumference of an electric wire connected to a charge terminal. The terminal spacer includes a slit portion extending across the entire length in the axial direction of the terminal spacer. The slit portion includes an electric wire insertion slit portion into which the electric wire can be inserted, and a narrow slit portion continuously extending from the electric wire insertion slit portion and having an opening width narrower than that of the electric wire insertion slit portion.
1. A terminal spacer having a cylindrical shape to be attached to a circumference of an electric wire connected to a terminal, the terminal spacer comprising
a slit portion extending across the entire length in an axial direction of the terminal spacer,
the slit portion including:
an electric wire insertion slit portion into which the electric wire can be inserted; and
a narrow slit portion continuously extending from the electric wire insertion slit portion, having an opening width narrower than that of the electric wire insertion slit portion and having a longitudinal length less than half of a longitudinal length of the terminal spacer.
2. The terminal spacer according to claim 1 , wherein the electric wire insertion slit portion is open to an end surface of the terminal spacer on one side in the axial direction.
3. The terminal spacer according to claim 1 , wherein the electric wire insertion slit portion has a tapered surface having an opening width which gradually decreases toward the narrow slit portion.
4. The terminal spacer according to claim 1 , wherein the end surface of the terminal spacer is provided with a receiving wall portion projecting in an inner circumferential direction.
5. The terminal spacer according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a second narrow slit portion at one end of the terminal spacer opposing another end of the terminal space at which the narrow slit portion is located, wherein
the electric wire insertion slit portion is between the narrow slit portion and the second narrow slit portion.
6. The terminal spacer according to claim 5 , wherein the electric wire insertion slit portion further comprises tapered surfaces each having an opening width which gradually decreases toward a respective one of the narrow slit portion and the second narrow slit portion.
7. The terminal spacer according to claim 1 , wherein side walls of the narrow slit portion are in contact with each other.
