Abstract

A touch panel is provided. The touch panel includes a cover plate and a display element under the cover plate. A touch sensing layer is disposed at an active area of the touch panel and between the cover plate and the display element. A decorative layer is disposed at a peripheral area of the touch panel and between the cover plate and the display element, wherein the active area is surrounded by the peripheral area. The touch panel further includes a dielectric layer disposed between the cover plate and the display element, wherein the difference in reflectivity between the active area and the peripheral area is 0 to 0.5.

Claims (15)

1. A touch panel, comprising:

a cover plate;

a display element disposed under the cover plate;

a touch sensing layer disposed at an active area of the touch panel and between the cover plate and the display element;

a decorative layer disposed at a peripheral area of the touch panel and between the cover plate and the display element, wherein the peripheral area surrounds the active area; and

a dielectric layer disposed between the cover plate and the display element, such that the difference in reflectivity between the active area and the peripheral area is 0 to 0.5%.

2. The touch panel of claim 1 , wherein a value of chromatism between the active area and the peripheral area is 0 to 5.

3. The touch panel of claim 1 , wherein the dielectric layer is disposed between the touch sensing layer and the display element.

4. The touch panel of claim 1 , wherein the dielectric layer is disposed between the cover plate and the touch sensing layer.

5. The touch panel of claim 4 , wherein the dielectric layer is disposed in the peripheral area of the touch panel.

6. The touch panel of claim 5 , wherein the dielectric layer is further disposed in the active area of the touch panel.

7. The touch panel of claim 6 , wherein the dielectric layer is formed on an inner surface of the cover plate, and the dielectric layer in the peripheral area is disposed between the cover plate and the decorative layer.

8. The touch panel of claim 6 , wherein the dielectric layer in the active area is formed on an inner surface of the cover plate, and the decorative layer is disposed between the cover plate and the dielectric layer in the peripheral area.

9. The touch panel of claim 1 , wherein the touch sensing layer is formed over a surface of an upper substrate of the display element, and the surface faces the cover plate.

10. The touch panel of claim 1 , wherein the material of the dielectric layer is selected from a group consisting of inorganic materials and organic materials having a refractive index of 1.4 to 2.4, and the dielectric layer comprises a single-layered or a multi-layered structure.
