The present specification discloses compositions comprising at least one therapeutic compound capable of modulating androgen production and methods and uses for treating a disorder associated with androgen production using such compositions and/or compounds.

Claims (28)

1. A method of treating an individual with an adenocarcinoma, the method comprising the step of administering to an individual in need thereof a benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine and about 0.01 mg/kg/day to about 0.5 mg/kg/day of a 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid, wherein administration reduces a symptom associated with the adenocarcinoma, thereby treating the individual,

wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine comprises an optionally substituted Iloperidone, an optionally substituted ocaperidone, an optionally substituted paliperidone, an optionally substituted risperidone, or any combination thereof, and

wherein there is a synergistic effect between the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine is in an about from 0.1 mg/day to about 20 mg/day.

3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine is in an amount from about 0.01 mg/kg/day to about 0.5 mg/kg/day.

4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid is in an amount from about 1 mg/day to about 20 mg/day.

5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine is risperidone.

6. The method according to claim 5 , the risperidone is in an about from 0.1 mg/day to about 20 mg/day.

7. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the risperidone is in an amount from about 0.01 mg/kg/day to about 0.5 mg/kg/day.

8. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered sequentially or simultaneously.

9. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered to the individual as a single composition.

10. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the reduced symptom includes a reduction in the frequency of a symptom of an adenocarcinoma, a reduction in the number of symptoms of an adenocarcinoma, or any combination thereof.

11. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the adenocarcinoma includes an esophageal cancer, a pancreatic cancer, a prostate cancer, a cervical cancer, a stomach cancer, a throat cancer, a non-small cell lung cancer, a ductal carcinoma of the breast, a lobular carcinoma of the breast, a colorectal cancer, adenocarcinoma of the lung, cholangiocarcinoma or vaginal cancer.

12. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the benzo(iso)oxazolepiperidine is in an about from 0.5 mg/day to about 17.5 mg/day.

13. The method according to claim 4 , wherein the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid is in an about from 0.5 mg/day to about 17.5 mg/day.

14. The method according to claim 6 , wherein the risperidone is in an about from 0.5 mg/day to about 17.5 mg/day.

15. A method of treating an individual with an adenocarcinoma, the method comprising the step of administering to an individual in need thereof about 0.01 mg/kg/day to about 0.5 mg/kg/day of a risperidone and about 0.01 mg/kg/day to about 0.5 mg/kg/day of a 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid, wherein administration reduces a symptom associated with the adenocarcinoma, thereby treating the individual,

wherein there is a synergistic effect between the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid.

16. The method according to claim 15 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered sequentially or simultaneously.

17. The method according to claim 15 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered to the individual as a single composition.

18. The method according to claim 15 , wherein the adenocarcinoma includes an esophageal cancer, a pancreatic cancer, a prostate cancer, a cervical cancer, a stomach cancer, a throat cancer, a non-small cell lung cancer, a ductal carcinoma of the breast, a lobular carcinoma of the breast, a colorectal cancer, adenocarcinoma of the lung, cholangiocarcinoma or vaginal cancer.

19. A method of treating an individual with an adenocarcinoma, the method comprising the step of administering to an individual in need thereof about from 0.1 mg/day to about 20 mg/day of a risperidone and about 1 mg/day to about 20 mg/day of a 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid, wherein administration reduces a symptom associated with the adenocarcinoma, thereby treating the individual,

wherein there is a synergistic effect between the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid.

20. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the risperidone is in an about from 0.5 mg/day to about 17.5 mg/day.

21. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid is in an about from 0.5 mg/day to about 17.5 mg/day.

22. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered sequentially or simultaneously.

23. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered to the individual as a single composition.

24. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the adenocarcinoma includes an esophageal cancer, a pancreatic cancer, a prostate cancer, a cervical cancer, a stomach cancer, a throat cancer, a non-small cell lung cancer, a ductal carcinoma of the breast, a lobular carcinoma of the breast, a colorectal cancer, adenocarcinoma of the lung, cholangiocarcinoma or vaginal cancer.
