Abstract

Provided are a light source circuit unit that improves light extraction efficiency, as well as an illuminator and a display that include such a light source circuit unit. The light source circuit unit includes: a circuit substrate having a wiring pattern on a surface thereof, the wiring pattern having light reflectivity, a circular pedestal provided on the circuit substrate, a water-repelling region provided at least from a peripheral edge portion of the pedestal to a part of a side face of the pedestal, and one or two or more light-emitting device chips mounted on the pedestal, and driven by a current that flows through the wiring pattern.

Claims (23)

1. A light source circuit unit comprising:

a circuit substrate having a wiring pattern on a surface thereof, the wiring pattern having light reflectivity;

a circular pedestal provided on the circuit substrate;

a water-repelling region provided at least from a peripheral edge portion of the pedestal to a part of a side face of the pedestal;

one or two or more light-emitting device chips mounted on the pedestal, and driven by a current that flows through the wiring pattern; and

a reflection sheet having one or two or more openings corresponding respectively to the one or two or more light-emitting device chips,

in which the light source circuit unit is foldable.

2. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein the reflection sheet includes Aluminum.

3. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein one side of the reflection sheet is configured for joining with a flexible flat cable via a resin.

4. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein an end side of the circuit substrate is foldable.

5. The light source circuit unit according to claim 4 , wherein the end side of the circuit substrate is foldable to be folded back to follow along a back side of a chassis on which the circuit substrate is arranged via a through-hole in the chassis.

6. The light source circuit according to claim 4 , wherein the end side of the circuit substrate is foldable to be folded back into two phases.

7. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein an end of the circuit substrate includes a connector plug-in port.

8. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein the pedestal is formed of conductive material.

9. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein the pedestal is a part of the wiring pattern, and the water-repelling region is formed of a water-repelling agent.

10. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein the light-emitting device chip is a light-emitting diode.

11. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein

the light-emitting device chip has a pair of electrodes at one side, and

the wiring pattern includes the pedestal, and a first wiring pattern and a second wiring pattern to which the respective two electrodes of the light-emitting device chip are electrically connected.

12. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein

the light-emitting device chip has a pair of electrodes at both sides, and

the wiring pattern includes a wiring layer serving as the pedestal and to which one of the electrodes of the light-emitting device chip is electrically connected, and another wiring layer to which the other of the electrodes is electrically connected.

13. The light source circuit unit according to claim 1 , wherein a part of the wiring pattern is provided with an alignment mark for alignment in mounting the light-emitting device chip on the pedestal and in forming a sealing lens.
