Abstract

A light emitting device includes a substrate, a first group of light emitting diode (LED) structures, a second group of LED structures, and a connection port is provided. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first group of LED structures is disposed on one side of the first surface. The second group of LED structures is disposed on another side of the first surface opposite to the first group of LED structures. The connection portion includes at least an opening, and a first connection pad and a second connection pad electrically coupled to at least a part of the LED structures. The connection port is adapted to be coupled to other device through the opening. A light emitting module and an illuminating apparatus are also provided.

a second LED structure disposed on the surface at the first side, and electrically connected to the first LED structure;

a third LED structure disposed on the surface at the second side, and electrically connected to the first LED structure;

a first connection pad disposed on the surface at the second side;

a first connection line extended from the first connection pad toward the first LED structure and having a width less than the first connection pad;

a second connection pad disposed on the surface at the second side;

a second connection line connected to the second connection pad and having a width less than the second connection pad;

a third connection pad disposed on the surface at the second side;

a third connection line connected to the third connection pad and having a uniform width that is less than the third connection pad; and

a first wavelength conversion layer formed in a unitary structure and continuously covering the first LED structure and the second LED structure without covering the third LED structure, a portion of the first connection line, the first connection pad, the second connection pad, and the third connection pad,

wherein the first connection pad and the second connection pad are configured to connect to a same polarity,

wherein the third connection pad is configured to connect to a polarity different from both of the first connection pad and the second connection pad,

wherein the first LED structure is driven through the first connection pad, the first connection line, the third connection line, and the third connection pad, and

wherein the third LED structure is driven through the second connection pad, the second connection line, the third connection line, and the third connection pad.

2. The light emitting device of claim 1 , further comprising a second wavelength conversion layer covering the third LED structure without covering the first connection pad, the second connection pad, and the third connection pad.

3. The light emitting device of claim 2 , wherein the second connection line is extended from the second connection pad toward the third LED structure.

4. The light emitting device of claim 3 , wherein the second wavelength conversion layer is devoid of covering a portion of the second connection line.

5. The light emitting device of claim 2 , wherein the first wavelength conversion layer and the second wavelength conversion have different phosphor compositions.

6. The light emitting device of claim 1 , wherein the substrate has a side surface, and the first connection pad is devoid of extending beyond the side surface.

7. The light emitting device of claim 1 , wherein the first wavelength conversion layer has a thickness greater than 30 μm.

8. The light emitting device of claim 1 , wherein the first connection pad, the second connection pad, and the third connection pad are physically separated from each other.

9. A light emitting module comprising:

a connection device; and

a light emitting device of claim 1 engaged with the connection device through the first connection pad, the second connection pad, and the third connection pad.
