Abstract

The fabric filter includes a first chamber with an inlet, a second chamber with an outlet, filter bags housed in the first chamber and having mouths that open in the second chamber and defining at least a bag nest, manifolds with nozzles facing the mouths and housed in the second chamber, a flow direction along which during operation a dirty gas to be treated in the fabric filter enters the bags nest. Angles between the manifolds and the flow gas direction are bigger than 45 degree.

Claims (20)

1 . A fabric filter comprising

a first chamber with an inlet,

a second chamber with an outlet,

filter bags housed in the first chamber and having mouths that open in the second chamber, the filter bags defining at least a bag nest,

manifolds with nozzles facing the mouths, the manifolds being housed in the second chamber,

a flow direction along which during operation a dirty gas to be treated in the fabric filter enters the bags nest,

wherein

angles between the manifolds and the flow gas direction are bigger than 45 degree.

2 . The fabric filter of claim 1 , wherein the manifolds extend substantially perpendicular to the flow direction.

3 . The fabric filter of claim 1 , wherein the filter bags are aligned in a matrix configuration.

4 . The fabric filter of claim 1 , wherein

the manifolds are connected to a pressure tank,

at least a valve is connected to each manifold to regulate the flow through that manifold,

a control unit is provided to selectively control the valves.

5 . The fabric filter of claim 1 , wherein the flow direction is defined by the first chamber configuration.

6 . The fabric filter of claim 5 , wherein the flow direction is further defined by the inlet and/or inlet position.

7 . The fabric filter of claim 1 , wherein the flow direction is a direction perpendicular to the inlet and/or parallel to walls of the first chamber.

8 . A method for cleaning a fabric filter comprising simultaneously injecting gas into filter bags aligned over an axis defining angles bigger than 45 degree with respect to a flow direction of a dirty gas, the flow direction being a direction along which during operation the dirty gas to be treated in the fabric filter enters a bag nest of the fabric filter.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the filter bags are aligned over an axis substantially perpendicular to the flow direction.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the fabric filter is a fabric filter according to claim 1 .
