Abstract

A combined downhill and touring binding for a ski, including: a base plate which can be fastened on an upper side of the ski; a toe retainer; a heel retainer; a connecting structure; a shifting mechanism comprising a shifting element having a first end which is a front end in the skiing direction and a second end which is a rear end in the skiing direction; and a latching lever using which the heel retainer can be moved by the shifting mechanism into a walking position and into a travelling position and latched in the walking position or travelling position, respectively; wherein the latching lever is connected to the ski in a pivoting joint and arranged in front of the heel retainer in the skiing direction, the first end of the shifting element is connected to the latching lever, and the second end of the shifting element is connected to the heel retainer.

Claims (23)

1. A combined downhill and touring binding for a ski, comprising:

a base plate which can be fastened on an upper side of the ski;

a toe retainer;

a heel retainer comprising a sole retainer and a tensioning device which presses the sole retainer against a sole of a ski boot;

a connecting structure which connects the tensioning device and the base plate;

a shifting mechanism comprising a fastening device and a shifting element having a first end which is a front end in a skiing direction and a second end which is a rear end in said skiing direction; and

a latching lever using which the heel retainer can be moved by the shifting mechanism into a walking position and into a travelling position and latched in the walking position or travelling position, respectively;

wherein the latching lever is connected to the fastening device in a first pivoting joint and arranged in front of the heel retainer in said skiing direction; and

the first end of the shifting element is connected to the latching lever, and the second end of the shifting element is connected to the heel retainer, and

wherein the latching lever is connected to the shifting element in a second pivoting joint.

2. The binding according to claim 1 , wherein the latching lever is arranged behind the toe retainer in said skiing direction.

3. The binding according to claim 1 , wherein the latching lever is connected to the ski, transverse to said skiing direction, in a position substantially central on a surface of the ski in a contact region for a ski boot.

4. The binding according to claim 1 , wherein the second end of the shifting element is connected directly to the heel retainer.

5. The binding according to claim 1 , wherein a pivoting axis of the first pivoting joint and a pivoting axis of the second pivoting joint extend parallel to each other without being identical.

6. The binding according to claim 5 , wherein the first pivoting joint is fixed, and the second pivoting joint lies in front of the first pivoting joint in said skiing direction in the travelling position and behind the first pivoting joint in said skiing direction in the walking position.

7. The binding according to claim 1 , wherein the first pivoting joint is fixed, and the second pivoting joint lies in front of the first pivoting joint in said skiing direction in the travelling position and behind the first pivoting joint in said skiing direction in the walking position.

8. The binding according to claim 1 , wherein the shifting element is a spindle plate.

9. The binding according to claim 8 , wherein the spindle plate is made of metal, a carbon reinforced material or another material.

10. The binding according to claim 1 , comprising a ski brake and a ski brake securing means, wherein the ski brake or the ski brake securing means is moved together with the heel retainer from the travelling position to the walking position.

11. The binding according to claim 10 , wherein at least a part of the ski brake securing means is connected to the shifting mechanism.

12. The binding according to claim 10 , wherein the ski brake securing means comprises a mushroom-shaped, T-shaped, V-shaped or Y-shaped securing body which protrudes upwards relative to the surface of the ski and exhibits a smaller diameter at its first end facing the surface of a ski than at its second end facing away from the surface of the ski.

13. The binding according to claim 12 , wherein the ski brake comprises spring brackets, and the spring brackets are formed to be elastic in a direction transverse to said skiing direction, such that the spring brackets are elastically pressed apart when a user steps into the ski in the walking position and converge again once the second end of the ski brake securing means for securing the ski brake has been passed.

14. A ski comprising a safety binding for descent and touring, featuring a heel retainer, wherein the safety binding is a binding according to claim 1 .
