Abstract

Inventive embodiments disclosed herein include a water-based formulation that includes silane-modified Styrene/acrylic ester copolymer in a concentration of 29.0 percent by weight; polycarbonate polyurethane dispersion in a concentration of 5.0 percent by weight; propylene glycol butyl ether in a concentration of 3.0 percent by weight; and water in a concentration of at least about 53.0 percent by weight.

Claims (10)

1 . A water-based nail cover formulation, comprising:

silane-modified styrene/acrylic ester copolymer;

polycarbonate polyurethane dispersion;

propylene glycol butyl ether; and

water, wherein the formulation comprises particles in a size distribution of 10 to 100 nanometers.

2 . The water-based formulation of claim 1 , further comprising one or more of rheology modifiers, surfactants, defoamers, slip additives, plasticizers and pigments.

3 . The water-based formulation of claim 1 , further comprising vitamins.

4 . The water-based formulation of claim 1 , which is a keratinous coating.

5 . The water-based formulation of claim 1 , which is a coating that coats cosmetic particles.
