Abstract

A sound amplification apparatus includes one or more microphones that convert collected sound into an audio signal and transmit the audio signal by radio and a sound receiving apparatus that receives the audio signal transmitted from the microphone and amplifies and outputs the sound based on the audio signal. The sound receiving apparatus is configured to perform sound output control in an emergency mode upon receiving an emergency signal transmitted in response to operation of an emergency switch of the microphone. With this configuration, it is possible to perform appropriate sound control in a dangerous situation such as intrusion of a suspicious person.

Claims (17)

1. An alarm notifying system that is used inside a building, the alarm notifying system comprising:

a camera that picks up an image of a predetermined area in the building, the camera being connected to a network; and

a terminal device that communicates with the camera, the terminal device having an emergency switch and continuously transmitting an emergency signal to the camera when detecting a first operation using the emergency switch by a user,

wherein the camera transmits the emergency signal and the image to a receiver via the network when the camera receives the emergency signal from the terminal device, and

the terminal device stops transmitting the emergency signal to the camera when detecting a second operation using the terminal device by a user.

2. The alarm notifying system according to the claim 1 , wherein the terminal device includes a microphone and transmits an audio signal captured by the microphone to the camera, and wherein the camera transmits the audio signal to the receiver, via the network, with the emergency signal and the image.

3. The alarm notifying system according to claim 2 , wherein the camera transmits the emergency signal and the image to the receiver via the network and a management apparatus, distinct from the receiver, having a display which displays the image transmitted from the camera.

4. The alarm notifying system according to claim 1 , wherein the camera continuously picks up the image of the predetermined area.

5. The alarm notifying system according to claim 3 , wherein the camera transmits the emergency signal and the image to the management apparatus via a communication line which is not included in the network.

6. The alarm notifying system according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a gateway that is connected to the network and the management apparatus located in another room than a room in which the camera is located, the camera transmits the emergency signal and the image to the network via the gateway, and further transmits the emergency signal and the image to the management apparatus via the gateway.

7. The alarm notifying system according to claim 1 , wherein the camera transmits, via the network, the emergency signal and the image to a security company located in another place than the building.

8. The alarm notifying system according to claim 3 , wherein the management apparatus transmits an audio signal alarming an emergency to speakers located in the building except a speaker located in the same room as the camera.

9. The alarm notifying system according to the claim 1 , wherein the camera changes the predetermined area for picking up an image when receiving the emergency signal from the terminal device.

10. The alarm notifying system according to the claim 9 , wherein the camera zooms out when receiving the emergency signal from the terminal device to enable pickup of an image within a larger area of the predetermined area.

11. The alarm notifying system according to claim 1 , wherein the terminal device includes a power switch that turns power on and off to the terminal device, and wherein the second operation is conducted by the power switch.

12. The alarm notifying system according to the claim 1 , wherein the camera continuously transmits the emergency signal and the image both to a receiver via the network when continuously receiving the emergency signal from the terminal device, and the camera stops transmitting the emergency signal and the image both to the receiver via the network when the terminal device stops transmitting the emergency signal to the camera.
