EXTERNAL USER INTERFACE FOR HEAD WORN COMPUTING
Aspects of the present invention relate to user interface control of a head-worn computer.
1 . A control system for a head-worn computer, comprising:
a. A hand-held device with a touch screen and a processor, wherein the processor is adapted to present graphical information on the touch screen and interpret user interactions with the touch screen;
b. The hand-held device adapted to communicate with the head-worn computer;
c. The head-worn computer having a see-through computer display and a processor adapted to present content in the see-through computer display and operate a plurality of computer application programs;
d. The hand-held device processor further adapted to receive an indication, from the head-worn computer, of an operating program of the plurality of computer programs the head-worn computer processor is currently operating and presenting to the user; and
e. The hand-held device processor further adapted to change the graphical information on the touch screen based on the indication of operating program such that the touch screen presents a pre-determined user interface on the touch screen that meets the needs of the operating program.
2 . The control system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical information includes a plurality of indications of available programs to be operated on the HWC, where a selection of one of the plurality of indication initiates a corresponding program on the HWC.
3 . The control system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical information includes a plurality of indications, wherein each indication represents a separate application currently operating on the HWC, wherein a selection of one on the plurality of indications causes a corresponding application to become active in the head-worn computer.
4 . The control system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical information includes a text entry user interface when the operating program has a text entry field.
5 . The control system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical information includes game play information when the operating program is a gaming application.
