ELECTRIC SHAVER

1 . An electric shaver comprising:

a handle having an arm;

a head mounted on the handle via the arm such that the head is pivotable relative to the arm; and

a clip by which the head automatically attached to the handle upon insertion of the arm into the head.

2 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 1 wherein the arm cannot be removed from the head.

3 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 1 wherein the clip is resilient in part.

4 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 1 wherein the clip is pivotably attached to the arm such that the head and the clip are pivotable in unison relative to the arm.

5 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 4 wherein the clip is pivotably attached to the arm via a bearing assembly comprising a spindle.

6 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 5 wherein the bearing assembly further comprises an O-ring disposed between the spindle and the clip.

7 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 1 wherein the handle comprises a yoke of which the arm is a constituent part.

8 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 1 wherein the head has a cutter assembly and a hair pocket beneath the cutter assembly, the hair pocket being pivotable relative to the arm about a pivot axis that is substantially below the hair pocket.

9 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 1 wherein the clip is disposed within the head.

10 . An electric shaver comprising:

a handle having an arm;

a head mounted on the handle via the arm such that the arm is inserted into the head and such that the head is pivotable relative to the arm; and

a biasing member disposed within the head, wherein the biasing member interacts with the arm to bias the head from a pivoted position into a non-pivoted position.

11 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 10 wherein the pivoting range of the head is limited by the biasing member.

12 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 10 wherein the biasing member is resiliently compressible against the arm to bias the head from the pivoted position into the non-pivoted position upon decompressing.

13 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 10 wherein the biasing member is mounted to the head.

14 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 13 wherein the biasing member is a rubber finger.

15 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 10 further comprising a plurality of biasing members.

16 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 15 wherein the plurality of biasing members interact with the arm such that a first one of the biasing members biases the head from a first pivoted position into the non-pivoted position, and such that a second one of the biasing members biases the head from a second pivoted position into the non-pivoted position.

17 . An electric shaver comprising:

a motor;

a housing comprising a first segment and a second segment attached to the first segment at a seam, wherein a motor sleeve is defined inside the housing such that the motor is disposed within the motor sleeve; and

a gasket at the seam between the first segment and the second segment, wherein the gasket extends into the motor sleeve between the motor and the housing.

18 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 17 wherein the seam is an annular seam and wherein the gasket has an annular segment at the seam.

19 . An electric shaver comprising:

a handle housing a motor; and

a head attached to the handle, the head comprising a plurality of cutter assemblies operatively connected to the motor,

wherein the handle has a longitudinal handle axis, and the head has a longitudinal head axis oriented relative to the longitudinal handle axis at an angle of between 17 degrees and 21 degrees.

20 . The electric shaver set forth in claim 19 wherein the longitudinal head axis is oriented relative to the longitudinal handle axis at an angle of about 19 degrees.
