Abstract

Systems and methods of providing a mobile phone cover are described. In some embodiments, the mobile phone cover may include, for example, a processor and lighting devices. The lighting devices may be operatively coupled to the processor. The processor may be configured, for example, to receive first signals based on second signals in which the second signals are generated by the mobile phone. The second signals may be indicative of an incoming call, an incoming message, a pending message, and/or a calendar alert (e.g., an upcoming appointment), for example. The processor may be configured to cause lighting of one or more of the lighting devices based on the first signals.

Claims (40)

1. A mobile phone cover for use with a mobile phone, comprising:

a processor; and

a display operatively coupled to the processor,

wherein the processor is configured to receive one or more electrical signals, wherein the one or more electrical signals include information, and wherein the processor is configured to display the information on the display.

2. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes caller identification information, and wherein the processor is configured to display the caller identification information on the display.

3. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes caller identification information, and wherein the display is configured to display the caller identification information.

4. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes message information, and wherein the processor is configured to display the message information on the display.

5. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes message information, and wherein the display is configured to display the message information.

6. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes message identification information, and wherein the processor is configured to display the message identification information on the display.

7. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes message identification information, and wherein the display is configured to display the message identification information.

8. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the information includes information relating to one or more of the following: an incoming message, a pending message, and an upcoming appointment.

9. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the display of the mobile phone cover is configured to be arranged on an opposite side of the display of the mobile phone.

10. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the display includes one or more of the following: an LCD screen, an LED screen, and a touch-sensitive screen.

11. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , comprising:

one or more buses,

wherein the processor of the mobile phone cover is configured to be communicatively coupled with circuitry of the mobile phone via the one or more buses.

12. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the processor of the mobile phone cover is configured to provide edge illumination based on the received one or more electrical signals.

13. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the processor of the mobile phone cover is configured to provide edge illumination based on the received one or more electrical signals from the mobile phone.

14. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , comprising:

a rechargeable battery that is operatively coupled to the processor.

15. The mobile phone cover according to claim 1 , wherein the one or more electrical signals are from the mobile phone.

16. A mobile phone cover for use with a mobile phone, comprising:

a processor; and

one or more output devices operatively coupled to the processor,

wherein the processor is configured to receive one or more digital signals, wherein the one or more digital signals include information, and wherein the one or more output devices are configured to provide the information as an output.

17. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the information includes caller identification information, and wherein the one or more output devices are configured to provide the caller identification information as an output.

18. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the information includes message information, and wherein the one or more output devices are configured to provide the message information as an output.

19. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the information includes message identification information, and wherein the one or more output devices are configured to provide the message identification information as an output.

20. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the information includes information relating to one or more of the following: an incoming message, a pending message, and an upcoming appointment.

21. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the one or more output devices of the mobile phone cover are on at least two sides of the mobile phone cover and are configured to be arranged on a side that is opposite of a display of the mobile phone.

22. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the one or more output devices of the mobile phone cover are on at least two sides of the mobile phone cover, and wherein one of the at least two sides is configured to be arranged on a side that is opposite of a display of the mobile phone.

23. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the one or more output devices include one or more of the following: a display, an LCD display, an LED display, and a touch-sensitive display.

24. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , comprising:

one or more buses,

wherein the processor of the mobile phone cover is configured to be communicatively coupled with circuitry of the mobile phone via the one or more buses.

25. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the mobile phone cover is configured to provide edge illumination based on the received one or more digital signals.

26. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the mobile phone cover is configured to provide edge illumination based on the received one or more digital signals from the mobile phone.

27. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , comprising:

a rechargeable battery operatively coupled to the processor.

28. The mobile phone cover according to claim 16 , wherein the one or more digital signals are from the mobile phone.
