Abstract

The present invention is to provide a charge transport substance having high resistance to stress within electrophotographic processes, an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has excellent high-speed responsiveness, shows a sufficient residual potential, and has high resistance to stress within electrophotographic processes, an electrophotographic cartridge, and an image-forming apparatus. The invention provides a charge transport substance having a specific structure. The invention further provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor including a photosensitive layer which contains the charge transport substance having a specific structure, an electrophotographic cartridge, and an image-forming apparatus, equipped with this electrophotographic photoreceptor.

Claims (27)

1. A charge transport substance represented by formula (1):

wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 5 , and R 6 each independently represent an alkyl group, R 3 , R 4 , R 7 , and R 8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or an alkoxy group, n 1 represents an integer of 1-5, and p and q each represent an integer of 0.

2. An electrophotographic photoreceptor, comprising:

a conductive support; and

a photosensitive layer formed over the conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer comprises a charge transport substance represented by formula (1):

wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 5 , and R 6 each independently represent an alkyl group, R 3 , R 4 , R 7 , and R 8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or an alkoxy group, n 1 represents an integer of 1-5, and p and q each represent an integer of 0.

3. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 , wherein the photosensitive layer further comprises oxytitanium phthalocyanine having a crystal form which, when examined by X-ray powder diffractometry using a CuKα characteristic X-ray line, gives a spectrum which shows diffraction peaks at Bragg angles) (20±0.2° of at least 24.1° and 27.2°.

4. An electrophotographic photoreceptor cartridge comprising:

the electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 ; and

at least one device selected from the group consisting of a charging device which charges the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an exposure device which exposes the charged electrophotographic photoreceptor to light to form an electrostatic latent image, and a developing device which develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photoreceptor.

5. An image-forming apparatus comprising:

the electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 ;

a charging device which charges the electrophotographic photoreceptor;

an exposure device which exposes the charged electrophotographic photoreceptor to light to form an electrostatic latent image; and

a developing device which develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photoreceptor.

6. The charge transport substance according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (1), n 1 is 2.

7. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 , wherein in the formula (1), n 1 is 2.

8. The charge transport substance according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (1), R 1 , R 2 , R 5 , and R 6 each represent a methyl group.

9. The charge transport substance according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (1), R 3 and R 7 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-2 carbon atoms.

10. The charge transport substance according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (1), R 3 and R 7 each represent a hydrogen atom.

11. The charge transport substance according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (1), R 4 and R 8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms.

12. The charge transport substance according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (1), R 4 and R 8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-2 carbon atoms.

13. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 , wherein in the formula (1), R′, R 2 , R 5 , and R 6 each represent a methyl group.

14. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 , wherein in the formula (1), R 3 and R 7 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-2 carbon atoms.

15. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 , wherein in the formula (1), R 3 and R 7 each represent a hydrogen atom.

16. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to claim 2 , wherein in the formula (1), R 4 and R 8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms.
