MEMORY SYSTEM, HOST DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
According to one embodiment, a memory system includes a nonvolatile memory and a controller which controls the nonvolatile memory. The controller notifies to an outside an extensive signal which indicates a predetermined state of the nonvolatile memory or the controller.
1 . A memory system comprising:
a nonvolatile memory; and
a controller which controls the nonvolatile memory, the controller notifying to an outside an extensive signal which indicates a predetermined state of the nonvolatile memory or the controller.
2 . The memory system of claim 1 , wherein the controller receives from the outside an extensive request of the predetermined state of the nonvolatile memory or the controller, and responds to the extensive request and notifies the extensive signal to the outside.
3 . The memory system of claim 2 , wherein
the extensive request is an extensive command, and
the extensive signal is an extensive status signal.
4 . A host device comprising a control unit which transmits, to a memory system comprising a nonvolatile memory and a controller which controls the nonvolatile memory, an extensive request for detecting a predetermined state of the nonvolatile memory or the controller.
5 . The host device of claim 4 , wherein
the control unit receives from the controller an extensive signal which responds to the extensive request.
6 . The host device of claim 5 , wherein
the extensive request is an extensive command, and
the extensive signal is an extensive status signal.
7 . An information processing system comprising:
a memory system comprising a nonvolatile memory and a controller which controls the nonvolatile memory; and
a host device which controls the memory system, wherein
the host device transmits an extensive request to the controller, and
the controller returns to the host device an extensive signal which responds to the extensive request.
8 . The information processing system of claim 7 , wherein the host device detects a predetermined state of the nonvolatile memory or the controller based on the returned. extensive signal.
9 . The information processing system of claim 7 , wherein
the extensive request is an extensive command, and
the extensive signal is an extensive status signal.
