Abstract

The present teaching relates to online task exchange. In one example, information related to a task automatically created based on an intent of a person is received. The task is posted to a plurality of parties that are capable of completing the task. One or more bids are received from at least some of the plurality of parties. At least one winning bid is selected from the one or more bids based on at least one criterion. Information indicative of a status as to completion of the task is received. Resource is allocated to the at least one winning bid based on the status.

Claims (77)

1. A method, implemented on a computing device having at least one processor, storage, and a communication platform capable of connecting to a network for online task exchange, the method comprising:

generating a person centric space based on data crosslinked from a plurality of spaces, wherein the data is cross-linked based on cross linking keys identified from the data;

tracking via an application, interactions of a person with respect to the person centric space;

estimating an intent of the person based on the interactions;

obtaining information related to a task automatically created based on the intent of the person;

extracting identifiers from the obtained information;

classifying a plurality of task actions related to the task based on the obtained information, into first and second sets of task actions;

executing the first set of task actions based on content included in the person-centric space;

executing the second set of task actions based on an execution result of the first set of task actions and content in a first space, wherein the first space is distinct from the person-centric space and content in the first space is different than content in the person-centric space; and

generating, upon completion of execution of the second set of task actions, a result card to be provided to the person, wherein the result card is generated based on the intent of the person and includes execution results of the first set of task actions and second set of task actions.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining a category of the task.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

posting the second set of task actions to a plurality of external parties that are capable of completing the task, wherein the plurality of external parties are determined based on the category of the task.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the category is posted with the task to allow the plurality of external parties to determine whether to bid on completion of the task based on the individual capabilities of the plurality of external parties.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising:

receiving one or more bids from at least some of the plurality of parties; and

selecting at least one winning bid from the one or more bids based on at least one criterion, wherein the at least one criterion includes at least one of:

a bidding price;

a prior history associated with completion of tasks of the person; and

credential of the plurality of parties.

6. A system for online task exchange, comprising:

a storage;

a communication platform connected to a network; and

one or more processors programmed to execute one or more computer program instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to:

generate a person centric space based on data crosslinked from a plurality of spaces, wherein the data is cross-linked based on cross linking keys identified from the data;

track interactions of a person with respect to the person centric space;

estimate an intent of the person based on the interactions;

obtain information related to a task automatically created based on the intent of the person;

extract identifiers from the obtained information;

classify a plurality of task actions related to the task based on the obtained information, into first and second sets of task actions;

execute the first set of task actions based on content included in the person-centric space;

execute the second set of task actions based on an execution result of the first set of task actions and content in a first space, wherein the first space is distinct from the person-centric space and content in the first space is different than content in the person-centric space; and

generate, upon completion of execution of the second set of task actions, a result card to be provided to the person, wherein the result card is generated based on the intent of the person and includes execution results of the first set of task actions and second set of task actions.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to determine a category of the task.

8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to post the second set of task actions to a plurality of external parties that are capable of completing the task, wherein the plurality of external parties are determined based on the category of the task.

9. The system of claim 7 , wherein the category is posted with the task to allow the plurality of external parties to determine whether to bid on completion of the task based on the individual capabilities of the plurality of external parties.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

receive one or more bids from at least some of the plurality of parties; and

select at least one winning bid from the one or more bids based on at least one criterion, wherein the at least one criterion includes at least one of:

a bidding price;

a prior history associated with completion of tasks of the person; and

credential of the plurality of parties.

11. A non-transitory, machine-readable medium having information recorded thereon for online task exchange, wherein the information, when read by a machine, causes the machine to perform the steps of:

generating a person centric space based on data crosslinked from a plurality of spaces, wherein the data is cross-linked based on cross linking keys identified from the data;

tracking via an application, interactions of a person with respect to the person centric space;

estimating an intent of the person based on the interactions;

obtaining information related to a task automatically created based on the intent of the person;

extracting identifiers from the obtained information;

classifying a plurality of task actions related to the task based on the obtained information, into first and second sets of task actions;

executing the first set of task actions based on content included in the person-centric space;

executing the second set of task actions based on an execution result of the first set of task actions and content in a first space, wherein the first space is distinct from the person-centric space and content in the first space is different than content in the person-centric space; and

generating, upon completion of execution of the second set of task actions, a result card to be provided to the person, wherein the result card is generated based on the intent of the person and includes execution results of the first set of task actions and second set of task actions.

12. The medium of claim 11 , wherein the information, when read by the machine, causes the machine to further perform the step of:

determining a category of the task.

13. The medium of claim 12 , wherein the information, when read by the machine, causes the machine to further perform the step of: posting the second set of task actions to a plurality of external parties that are capable of completing the task, wherein the plurality of external parties are determined based on the category of the task.

14. The medium of claim 12 , wherein the category is posted with the task to allow the plurality of external parties to determine whether to bid on completion of the task based on the individual capabilities of the plurality of external parties.

15. The medium of claim 14 , wherein the information, when read by the machine, causes the machine to further perform the step of:

receiving one or more bids from at least some of the plurality of parties; and

selecting at least one winning bid from the one or more bids based on at least one criterion, wherein the at least one criterion includes at least one of:

a bidding price;

a prior history associated with completion of tasks of the person; and

credential of the plurality of parties.

16. The method of claim 3 , wherein posting the task comprises:

soliciting bids on the completion of the task from the plurality of external parties.

17. The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

receiving information indicative of a status as to completion of the second set of task actions; and

allocating resource to the at least one winning bid based on the status, wherein allocating resource comprises:

billing a party from which the winning bid is received and/or the person.

18. The method of claim 1 , wherein information related to the task is obtained based on an event associated with the task.

19. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

posting the second set of task actions to a group of selected external parties, the group being selected based on a plurality of criteria associated with the task and the selected external parties.

20. The medium of claim 11 , further comprising:

posting the second set of task actions to a group of selected external parties, the group being selected based on a plurality of criteria associated with the task and the selected external parties.

21. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining dynamically, a type of the result card to be presented to the person; and

determining a layout of a number of modules to be included in the type of the result card based on the estimated intent of the person.
