Method and system for associating data from different sources to generate a person-centric space
View Patent ↗The present teaching relates to associating data from different sources to generate a person-centric space. In one example, information related to a person is received. First data is obtained from a first source private to the person based on the information. One or more types of cross-linking keys are identified from the first data. Second data is obtained from at least one second source based on the one or more types of cross-linking keys. The first data is associated with at least a portion of the second data based, at least in part, on the one or more types of cross-linking keys to generate cross-linked data. The person-centric space is generated based on the cross-linked data.
1. A method, implemented on a computing device having at least one processor, storage, and a communication platform capable of connecting to a network for associating data from different sources to generate a person-centric space including information relevant to a person, the method comprising:
obtaining information related to the person in response to receiving a query;
obtaining first data from a first source private to the person based on the information;
determining a domain associated with the first data;
identifying, based on the domain, one or more cross-linking keys from the first data;
obtaining second data from at least one second source based on the one or more cross-linking keys;
generating cross-linked data by associating the first data with at least a portion of the second data based on the one or more cross-linking keys;
generating the person-centric space based on the cross-linked data, the person centric space being updated based on obtaining updated first data, wherein the first data is updated in accordance with a schedule determined based on a type of the first source from which the first data is obtained;
determining an intent of the person based on the query; and
generating an answer card to be presented to the person in response to the query, wherein the answer card includes at least some of the cross-linked data determined based on the intent.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one second source is one of: a private data source and a semi-private data source.
3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
extracting one or more entities from the first data, wherein the one or more cross-linking keys are selected from the one or more entities.
4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the step of identifying comprises:
selecting the one or more cross-linking keys from the one or more entities in accordance with the domain.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the person-centric space comprises a projection of a general data space in accordance with a perspective of the person.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more cross-linking keys from the first data is identified based on an intent of the person.
7. A system for associating data from different sources to generate a person-centric space including information relevant to a person, comprising:
an access controller implemented by a processor and configured to obtain information related to the person in response to receiving a query;
a first fetcher implemented by the processor and configured to obtain first data from a first source private to the person based on the information;
a domain determining unit implemented by the processor and configured to determine a domain associated with the first data;
a cross-linking key determiner implemented by the processor and configured to identify, based on the domain, one or more cross-linking keys from the first data;
a second fetcher implemented by the processor and configured to obtain second data from at least one second source based on the one or more cross-linking keys;
an associating unit implemented by the processor and configured to generate cross-linked data by associating the first data with at least a portion of the second data based on the one or more cross-linking keys, and generate the person-centric space based on the cross-linked data, the person centric space being updated based on obtaining updated first data, wherein the first data is updated in accordance with a schedule determined based on a type of the first source from which the first data is obtained;
an intent engine implemented by the processor and configured to determine an intent of the person based on the query; and
a dynamic card builder implemented by the processor and configured to generate an answer card to be presented to the person in response to the query, wherein the answer card includes at least some of the cross-linked data determined based on the intent.
8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the at least one second source is one of: a private data source and a semi-private data source.
9. The system of claim 7 , further comprising:
an entity extractor implemented by the processor and configured to extract one or more entities from the first data, wherein the one or more cross-linking keys are selected from the one or more entities.
10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the cross-linking key determiner is further configured to:
select the one or more cross-linking keys from the one or more entities in accordance with the domain.
11. The system of claim 7 , wherein the person-centric space comprises a projection of a general data space in accordance with a perspective of the person.
12. A non-transitory, machine-readable medium having information recorded thereon for associating data from different sources to generate a person-centric space including information relevant to a person, wherein the information, when read by a machine, causes the machine to perform the steps of:
obtaining information related to the person in response to receiving a query;
obtaining first data from a first source private to the person based on the information;
determining a domain associated with the first data;
identifying, based on the domain, one or more cross-linking keys from the first data;
obtaining second data from at least one second source based on the one or more cross-linking keys;
generating cross-linked data by associating the first data with at least a portion of the second data based on the one or more cross-linking keys;
generating the person-centric space based on the cross-linked data, the person centric space being updated based on obtaining updated first data, wherein the first data is updated in accordance with a schedule determined based on a type of the first source from which the first data is obtained;
determining an intent of the person based on the query; and
generating an answer card to be presented to the person in response to the query, wherein the answer card includes at least some of the cross-linked data determined based on the intent.
13. The medium of claim 12 , wherein the at least one second source is one of: a private data source and a semi-private data source.
14. The medium of claim 12 , wherein the information, when read by a machine, causes the machine to further perform the steps of:
extracting one or more entities from the first data, wherein the one or more cross-linking keys are selected from the one or more entities.
15. The medium of claim 14 , wherein the step of identifying comprises:
selecting the one or more cross-linking keys from the one or more entities in accordance with the domain.
16. The medium of claim 12 , wherein the person-centric space comprises a projection of a general data space in accordance with a perspective of the person.
