Abstract

A radio communication apparatus to perform communication with another radio communication apparatus by using a plurality of frequency bands, the radio communication apparatus includes, a receiving unit configured to receive, when performing a random access procedure to said another radio communication apparatus, a control message by using a first frequency band as a response to a preamble message transmitted by the radio communication apparatus, the control message instructing communication using a second frequency band different from the first frequency band; and a control unit configured to perform, when the control message corresponds to the preamble message, data communication with said another radio communication apparatus by using the second frequency band.

Claims (13)

1. A radio communication apparatus to perform communication with another radio communication apparatus by using a plurality of frequency bands, the radio communication apparatus comprising:

a receiving unit configured to receive, when performing a random access procedure to said another radio communication apparatus, a control message by using a first frequency band as a response to a preamble message transmitted by the radio communication apparatus, the control message instructing communication using a second frequency band different from the first frequency band; and

a control unit configured to perform, when the control message corresponds to the preamble message, data communication with said another radio communication apparatus by using the second frequency band.

2. A radio communication apparatus to perform communication with another radio communication apparatus by using a plurality of frequency bands, the radio communication apparatus comprising:

a control unit configured to select a second frequency band different from a first frequency band, as a frequency band to be used for data communication by said another radio communication apparatus; and

a transmitting unit configured to transmit a control message to said another radio communication apparatus by using the first frequency band as a response to a preamble message received from said another radio communication apparatus when a random access procedure is performed, the control message instructing communication using the second frequency band selected by the control unit.

3. A radio communication system to perform communication by using a plurality of frequency bands, the radio communication system comprising:

a first radio communication apparatus configured to transmit a control message by using a first frequency band as a response to a preamble message received by the first radio communication apparatus when a random access procedure is performed, the control message instructing communication using a second frequency band different from the first frequency; and

a second radio communication apparatus configured to receive the control message from the first radio communication apparatus by using the first frequency band, and when the control message corresponds to the preamble message transmitted by the second radio communication apparatus, perform data communication by using the second frequency band.

4. A radio communication method for use in a radio communication system including first and second radio communication apparatuses to perform communication by using a plurality of frequency bands, the radio communication method comprising:

transmitting, by the first radio communication apparatus, a control message to the second radio communication apparatus by using a first frequency band as a response to a preamble message received from the second radio communication apparatus when a random access procedure is performed by the second radio communication apparatus, the control message instructing communication using a second frequency band different from the first frequency band;

receiving, by the second radio communication apparatus, the control message from the first radio communication apparatus by using the first frequency band; and

performing, by the second radio communication apparatus, data communication by using the second frequency band when the control message corresponds to the preamble message.
