Abstract

A polymeric material formed by reacting aminopolyol having a structure: wherein R4 is selected from the group consisting of —H and —CH 2 —CH 2 —OH; and an organosilane, wherein said organosilane has a structure: wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of —H, —CH 3 and —CH 2 —CH 3 and R2 is selected from the group consisting of —OH, —O—CH 3 , O—CH 2 —CH 3 , alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group.

Claims (30)

1. A polymeric material formed by reacting an aminopolyol having a structure:

wherein R4 is selected from the group consisting of —H and —CH 2 —CH 2 —OH;

and an organosilane, wherein said organosilane has a structure:

wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of —H, —CH 3 and —CH 2 —CH 3 and R2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group, and

further comprising a mixture of Peroxotitanium acid solution and Peroxo-modified anatase sol.

2. The polymeric material of claim 1 , comprising a cross-linked polymer having a structure:

wherein R2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group.

3. The polymeric material of claim 1 , further comprising titanium dioxide.

4. The polymeric material of claim 1 , wherein said organosilane comprises 3-aminopropylsilanetriol.

5. The polymeric material of claim 1 , wherein said organosilane comprises at least one of 3-chloropropylsilanetriol or 3-octadecylaminodimethyltrihydroxysilylpropyl ammonium chloride.

6. The polymeric material of claim 1 , further comprising a silsesquioxane having a structure:

wherein R2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group.

7. A polymeric material formed by reacting an aminopolyol having a structure:

wherein R4 is selected from the group consisting of —H and —CH 2 —CH 2 —OH,

and an organosilane, wherein said organosilane has a structure:

wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of —H, —CH 3 and —CH 2 —CH 3 and R2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group, and

further comprising a silsesquioxane having a structure:

wherein R2 of the silsesquioxane is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group.

8. The polymeric material of claim 7 , further comprising a mixture of Peroxotitanium acid solution and Peroxo-modified anatase sol.

9. The polymeric material of claim 8 , further comprising titanium dioxide.

10. The polymeric material of claim 7 , wherein said organosilane comprises at least one of 3-aminopropylsilanetriol, 3-chloropropylsilanetriol, or 3-octadecylaminodimethyltrihydroxysilylpropyl ammonium chloride.

11. A polymeric material formed by reacting an aminopolyol having a structure:

wherein R4 is selected from the group consisting of —H and —CH—CH 2 —OH;

and an organosilane, wherein said organosilane has a structure:

wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of —H, —CH 3 and —CH 2 —CH 3 and R2 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group,

wherein said organosilane comprises at least one of 3-chloropropylsilanetriol or 3-octadecylaminodimethyltrihydroxysilylpropyl ammonium chloride.

12. The polymeric material of claim 11 , further comprising a mixture of Peroxotitanium acid solution and Peroxo-modified anatase sol.

13. The polymeric material of claim 12 , further comprising titanium dioxide.

14. The polymeric material of claim 11 , further comprising a silsesquioxane having a structure:

wherein R2 of the silsesquioxane is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkyl with a chlorine moiety, alkyl with an amino moiety, and alkyl with a quaternary ammonium group.
