Abstract

Systems and method for advanced analytics relating to a wireless communications spectrum are disclosed. At least one distributed device is in network-based communication with at least one remote server. Each of the each of the at least one distributed device is operable to sense and measure signals transmitted from at least one signal emitting device, thereby creating signal data; provide near-real-time analytics for the signal data, thereby creating analyzed data; calculate signal degradation data for the measured signals; and communicate the signal data, the analyze data, and the signal degradation data to the at least one remote server. The at least one remote server is operable to aggregate data from the at least one distributed device and compare the aggregated data from the at least one distributed device.

Claims (33)

1 . A system for providing advanced analytics relating to a wireless communications spectrum, comprising:

at least one distributed device in network-based communication with at least one remote server;

wherein each of the at least one distributed device is operable to:

sense and measure signals transmitted from at least one signal emitting device, thereby creating signal data;

provide near-real-time analytics for the signal data, thereby creating analyzed data; and

communicate the signal data and the analyze data to the at least one remote server;

wherein the at least one remote server is operable to:

aggregate data from the at least one distributed device; and

compare the aggregated data from the at least one distributed device in near real time.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the at least one distributed device is further operable to calculate signal degradation data for the measured signals based on information associated with the measured signals in a static database including noise figure parameters of the at least one emitting device, hardware parameters, and environment parameters.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the near real-time analytics provided by each of the at least one distributed device includes at least one of signal emitting device identification, identification of open space, signal optimization, and combinations thereof.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation of data is continuous.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one remote server is further operable to compare signal data for factors including time(s), day(s), venues, geographic locations or regions, situations, activities.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one remote server is further operable to produce a composite database for each type of the aggregated data; wherein the composite database allows for additional analytics.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one remote server is further operable to identify omitted information or lost data based on the aggregated data.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one remote server is further operable to provide automated matching of time even when environment, activities, and context are different for the at least one distributed device; wherein the matching of time is matching timeframes and relative times.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one remote server is further operable to generate a variance report in near real time based on variation of the signal data from different devices of the at least one distributed device when the different devices sense and measure the same signal from the same signal emitting device in the spectrum.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the variation of the signal data is created when interference, power, environmental factors preclude one of the different devices from determining the identity of the signal emitting device with the same degree of certainty or confidence.

11 . A method for providing advanced analytics relating to a wireless communications spectrum, comprising:

at least one distributed device sensing and measuring signals transmitted from at least one signal emitting device, thereby creating signal data;

the at least one distributed device providing near real-time analytics for the signal data, thereby creating analyzed data;

the at least one distributed device communicating the signal data, the analyzed data and the signal degradation data to the at least one remote server;

at least one remote server aggregating data from the at least one distributed device; and

the at least one remote server comparing the aggregated data from the at least one distributed device in near real time.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the at least one distributed device calculating signal degradation data for the measured signals based on information associated with the measured signals in a static database including noise figure parameters of the at least one emitting device, hardware parameters, and environment parameters.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the near real-time analytics provided by each of the at least one distributed device includes at least one of signal emitting device identification, identification of open space, signal optimization, and combinations thereof.

14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the aggregating is continuous.

15 . The method of claim 11 , the comprising by the at least one remote server comprises comparing signal data for factors including time(s), day(s), venues, geographic locations or regions, situations, activities.

16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the at least one remote server producing a composite database for each type of the aggregated data and providing additional analytics.

17 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the at least one remote server identifying omitted information or lost data based on the aggregated data.

18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the at least one remote server providing automated matching of time even when environment, activities, and context are different for the at least one distributed device; wherein the matching of time is matching timeframes and relative times.

19 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the at least one remote server generating a variance report in near real time based on variation of the signal data from different devices of the at least one distributed device when the different devices sense and measure the same signal from the same signal emitting device in the spectrum.

20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the variation of the signal data is created when interference, power, environmental factors preclude one of the different devices from determining the identity of the signal emitting device with the same degree of certainty or confidence.
