Abstract

An information display system includes a computing system that is configured to implement a user interface, access a first database storing a plurality of loan workout rules, receive loan and borrower data regarding an existing loan, and determine a plurality of loan workout options based on the plurality of loan workout rules and the received loan and borrower data. The plurality of loan workout options are displayed on the user interface.

Claims (37)

1. A system, comprising:

a firewall defining an internal portion of the system;

a first database located in the internal portion;

a computing system located in the internal portion and connectable to the first database via a network,

wherein the computing system is configured to:

implement a user interface;

access the first database storing a first plurality of loan workout rules for a plurality of different loan types, wherein the first plurality of loan workout rules includes: investor loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan investors, guarantor loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan guarantors, and regulator loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan regulators;

access a second database outside the internal portion of the system that stores a second plurality of loan workout rules, the second plurality of loan workout rules associated with at least one of a loan guarantor, insurer, investor and regulator;

receive loan and borrower data regarding a plurality of existing loans via the user interface;

access a third database that stores further borrower data regarding the plurality of existing loans;

determine a plurality of loan workout options for the plurality of existing loans based on the first plurality of loan workout rules, the second plurality of loan workout rules, the received loan and borrower data, and the further borrower data;

display the plurality of loan workout options on the user interface including, for each loan workout option, a side-by-side comparison of loan aspects of the existing loan and the loan aspects as modified by the workout option, thereby providing the ability to evaluate multiple loan products simultaneously; and

display the existing loan and a selected one of the plurality of loan workout options simultaneously on the user interface.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of loan workout options includes at least one of temporary forbearance and permanent loan modification.

3. A computer implemented method, comprising:

accessing a first database, the first database being within an internal portion of a system defined by a firewall and storing workout rules for a plurality of different loan types;

receiving a first plurality of loan workout rules from the first database, wherein the first plurality of loan workout rules includes: investor loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan investors, guarantor loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan guarantors, and regulator loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan regulators;

accessing a second database, the second database being outside of the internal portion of the system;

receiving a second plurality of loan workout rules from the second database, the second plurality of loan workout rules being associated with at least one of a loan guarantor, insurer, investor and regulator;

receiving loan and borrower data regarding an existing loan from a third database;

receiving further loan and borrower data regarding the existing loan via a user interface generated by a computing system, wherein the further loan and borrower data received from the user interface includes edits to the loan or borrower data received from the third database;

determining a plurality of loan workout options based on the first plurality of loan workout rules, the second plurality of loan workout rules, the loan and borrower data and the further loan and borrower data;

saving the plurality of loan workout options in a decisions database;

displaying a plurality of loan workout options on the user interface, wherein displaying the plurality of loan workout options includes displaying, for each loan workout option, a side-by-side comparison of loan aspects of the existing loan and the loan aspects as modified by the workout option, thereby providing the ability to evaluate multiple loan products simultaneously;

receiving edits to the plurality of loan workout options via the user interface;

storing the received edits in the decisions database to the plurality of loan workout options; and

displaying the stored edits on the user interface in the display of the plurality of loan workout options.

4. A non-transitory computer-readable data storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by a computing system, implement a method comprising:

accessing a first database within an internal portion of a system defined by a firewall to receive a first plurality of loan workout rules, wherein the first database stores workout rules for a plurality of different loan types, wherein the first plurality of loan workout rules includes: investor loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan investors, guarantor loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan guarantors, and regulator loan workout rules associated with a plurality of loan regulators;

accessing a second database outside of the internal portion to receive a second plurality of loan workout rules;

accessing a third database to receive loan and borrower data regarding a plurality of existing loans;

determining a plurality of loan workout options for each of the plurality of existing loans based on the first plurality of loan workout rules, the second plurality of loan workout rules, and the loan and borrower data, wherein the plurality of loan workout options includes at least one of temporary forbearance and permanent loan modification;

displaying the determined loan workout options on a user interface;

displaying an existing loan of the plurality of existing loans on the user interface, wherein displaying the plurality of loan workout options includes displaying, for each loan workout option, a side-by-side comparison of loan aspects of the existing loan and the loan aspects as modified by the workout option, thereby providing the ability to evaluate multiple loan products simultaneously; and

receiving edits to the loan or borrower data via the user interface and storing the edits to the loan or borrower data in a decisions database.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the user interface is configured to receive a manual override.

6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the computing system is further configured to store the manual override in association with the existing loan for reuse.
