Abstract

The wireless communication system of the present invention includes a base station ( 10 ) and a mobility management node ( 20 ). The base station ( 10 ) sends at least one information from among location information of the base station ( 10 ) and information about the size of a cell of the base station ( 10 ), to the mobility management node ( 20 ). The mobility management node ( 20 ) receives at least one information from among the location information of the base station ( 10 ) and the information about the size of the cell of the base station, from the base station ( 10 ).

Claims (54)

1. A wireless communication system comprising:

a wireless communication apparatus configured to send an attach request message to a base station;

the base station configured to send, to a mobility management entity, a first message including both first information about a tracking area to which a cell of the base station belongs and second information indicating whether or not a type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell, if the base station receives the attach request message; and

the mobility management entity configured to send, to the wireless communication apparatus via the base station, a second message including third information indicating a tracking area to which the wireless communication apparatus is registered,

wherein the wireless communication apparatus sends an attach complete message to the base station after receiving the second message.

2. The wireless communication system according to claim 1 ,

wherein the type of the cell of the base station is a type representative of a size of the cell.

3. The wireless communication system according to claim 1 ,

wherein the second information indicates that the type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell or a femto cell.

4. The wireless communication system according to claim 1 ,

wherein the first message is UE initial message.

5. The wireless communication system according to claim 1 ,

wherein the second message is an attach accept message.

6. A wireless communication apparatus comprising a transceiver configured to:

send an attach request message to a base station,

receive a second message including third information of a tracking area to which the wireless communication apparatus is registered, and

send an attach complete message to the base station after receiving the second message,

wherein, if the base station receives the attach request message, the base station sends, to a mobility management entity, a first message including both first information about a tracking area to which a cell of the base station belongs and second information indicating whether or not a type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell.

7. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the type of the cell of the base station is a type representative of a size of the cell.

8. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the second information indicates that the type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell or a femto cell.

9. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the first message is UE initial message.

10. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the second message is an attach accept message.

11. A base station comprising:

a receiver configured to receive an attach request message from a wireless communication apparatus; and

a transmitter configured to send, to a mobility management entity, a first message including both first information about a tracking area to which a cell of the base station belongs and second information indicating whether or not a type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell, if the base station receives the attach request message.

12. The base station according to claim 11 ,

wherein the type of the cell of the base station is a type representative of a size of the cell.

13. The base station according to claim 11 ,

wherein the second information indicates that the type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell or a femto cell.

14. The base station according to claim 11 ,

wherein the first message is UE initial message.

15. The base station according to claim 11 , wherein

the receiver receives a second message, from the mobility management entity, including third information of a tracking area to which the wireless communication apparatus is registered, and

the transmitter transmits the second message to the wireless communication apparatus.

16. The base station according to claim 15 ,

wherein the second message is an attach accept message.

17. A method of a base station comprising:

receiving an attach request message from a wireless communication apparatus; and

sending, to a mobility management entity, a first message including both first information about a tracking area to which a cell of the base station belongs and second information indicating whether or not a type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell.

18. A method according to claim 17 ,

wherein the type of the cell of the base station is a type representative of a size of the cell.

19. A method according to claim 17 ,

wherein the second information indicates that the type of the cell of the base station is a macro cell or a femto cell.

20. A method according to claim 17 ,

wherein the first message is UE initial message.

21. A method according to claim 17 , further comprising

receiving a second message, from the mobility management entity, including third information of a tracking area to which the wireless communication apparatus is registered; and

transmitting the second message to the wireless communication apparatus.

22. A method according to claim 21 ,

wherein the second message is an attach accept message.
