SYSTEM FOR CREATING AND DISTRIBUTING INTERACTIVE ADVERTISEMENTS TO MOBILE DEVICES
A system for mobile devices that facilitates the creation and dissemination of interactive advertisements to a plurality of mobile devices. A computer or PC comprising an interactive media creator is used to generate interactive advertisements and communicate it to a distribution server. Mobile devices have an interactive media client component to receive and present interactive media, such as these interactive advertisements, to a user. User response is collected, user interaction is monitored and reported. Charging for distributing advertisements is supported.
1 . A method of administering an electronic survey, comprising:
determining an identifier of a mobile device corresponding to a user to which an electronic survey is to be administered;
generating, by the at least one processor, an electronic notification for the electronic survey, wherein the electronic notification comprises a link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey;
sending, via a communication network, the electronic notification to the mobile device using the identifier of the mobile device;
receiving, from the mobile device and via the communication network, an indication that the user activated the link from the electronic notification; and
based on receiving the indication that the user activated the link from the electronic notification, providing the mobile device access to the electronic survey.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
accessing a first segment of the electronic survey to provide to the mobile device; and
wherein providing the mobile device access to the electronic survey comprises sending the first segment of the electronic survey to the mobile device.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
receiving, from the mobile device and via the communication network, an indication that the user has interacted with the first segment of the electronic survey; and
based on receiving the indication that the user has interacted with the first segment of the electronic survey, sending a second segment of the electronic survey.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein:
the first segment of the electronic survey comprises a first question of the electronic survey; and
the second segment of the electronic survey comprises a second question of the electronic survey.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining one or more capabilities of the mobile device; and
wherein providing the mobile device access to the electronic survey comprises providing the electronic survey to the mobile device in a form that is compatible with the one or more capabilities of the mobile device.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein determining the one or more capabilities of the mobile device comprises determining a user interaction capability of the mobile device.
7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein determining the one or more capabilities of the mobile device comprises determining a display capability of the mobile device.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the electronic notification for the electronic survey comprises creating a SMS message with the link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey.
9 . A system to administer an electronic survey, comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions thereon that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:
determine an identifier of a mobile device corresponding to a user to which an electronic survey is to be administered;
generate an electronic notification for the electronic survey, wherein the electronic notification comprises a link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey;
send, via a communication network, the electronic notification to the mobile device using the identifier of the mobile device;
receive, from the mobile device and via the communication network, an indication that the user activated the link from the electronic notification; and
based on receiving the indication that the user activated the link from the electronic notification, provide the mobile device access to the electronic survey.
10 . The system of claim 9 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:
access a plurality of user profiles corresponding to a plurality of users, wherein each user profile comprises information describing one or more characteristics of a corresponding user; and
identifying the user to which the electronic survey is to be administered based on matching an attribute of the electronic survey to at least one characteristic included in a user profile of the user.
11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein providing the mobile device access to the electronic survey comprises providing a first segment of the electronic survey that solicits user input from the user via the mobile device.
12 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to receive, from the mobile device, the user input based on the user interacting with the first segment of the electronic survey on the mobile device.
13 . The system of claim 12 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to report the user input to an administrator of the electronic survey.
14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the user can interact with the first segment of the electronic survey by selecting information within the first segment of the electronic survey that is displayed on the mobile device.
15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the user can interact with the first segment of the electronic survey by entering text via the mobile device.
16 . The system of claim 12 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to, based on receiving the indication of the user input, send a second segment of the electronic survey that solicits additional user input from the user via the mobile device.
17 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the electronic notification of the electronic survey is a SMS message that includes the link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey.
18 . A non-transitory computer readable storage media storing instructions thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause a computer system to:
determine an identifier of a mobile device corresponding to a user to which an electronic survey is to be administered;
generate an electronic notification for the electronic survey, wherein the electronic notification comprises a link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey;
send, via a communication network, the electronic notification to the mobile device using the identifier of the mobile device;
receive, from the mobile device and via the communication network, an indication that the user activated the link from the electronic notification; and
based on receiving the indication that the user activated the link from the electronic notification, provide the mobile device access to the electronic survey.
19 . The non-transitory computer readable storage media of claim 18 , wherein generating the electronic notification for the electronic survey comprises creating a SMS message with the link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable storage media of claim 19 , wherein the link that the user can activate to access the electronic survey comprises a reference to a website that contains at least a portion of the electronic survey.
