Abstract

An integrated computing system configuration system includes a computing system that executes an application to receive a customized integrated computing system configuration having multiple design elements (DEs) that are associated with multiple components of a customized integrated computing system. The application may then, for at least DE, determine whether one or more other DEs in the customized integrated computing system configuration meet a specified criteria associated with the at least one DE, and when at least one of the other DEs does not meet the specified criteria such that the customized integrated computing system configuration comprises a invalid configuration, correct the invalid configuration by modifying one or more of the other DEs such that the customized integrated computing system configuration comprises a valid configuration.

4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the second design element comprises a personality representing a type of behavior that the second design element is to provide in the customized integrated computing system configuration, the instructions further executed to apply the remedial action according to the personality of the second design element.

5. The system of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of remedial actions comprise at least one of adding an additional design element to the customized integrated computing system configuration, removing an existing design element in the customized integrated computing system configuration, or modify a personality of the DEs second design element in the customized integrated computing system configuration.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further executed to store the customized integrated computing system configuration as an integrated computing system configuration template in the at least one memory, the integrated computing system configuration template used to create another customized integrated computing system configuration at a future point in time.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the instructions are further executed to transmit the customized integrated computing system configuration to a customer of the customized integrated computing system, wherein the customized integrated computing system is implemented as a sub-system of another customized integrated computing system, and wherein the customized integrated computing system configuration is further customized to form another customized integrated computing system configuration associated with the other customized integrated computing system.

8. An integrated computing system configuration method comprising:

receiving, using executable instructions stored in a non-transitory medium and executed on at least one processor, a customized integrated computing system configuration comprising a plurality of design elements the plurality of design elements including a plurality of logical constructs representing a plurality of components of a customized integrated computing system;

for a first design element of the plurality of design elements, determining, using the instructions executed by the at least one processor, whether a second design element of the plurality of design elements in the customized integrated computing system configuration is interoperable with the first design element such that a first component associated with the first design element and a second component associated with the second design element collectively function at a specified performance level; and

when the second design element is not interoperable with the first design element, modifying, using the instructions executed by the at least one processor, at least one of the first design element or the second design element such that the second component associated with the second design element is interoperable with the first component associated with the first design element.

9. The integrated computing system configuration method of claim 8 , further comprising:

identifying a plurality of remedial actions that may be performed such that the second component associated with the second design element is interoperable with the first component associated with the first design element;

displaying the plurality of remedial actions on a user interface;

receiving, via the user interface, user input for selecting one of the one or more remedial actions; and

applying the one remedial action to the customized integrated computing system configuration.

10. The integrated computing system configuration method of claim 8 , further comprising, when only one remedial action exist, applying the one remedial action to the customized integrated computing system configuration.

11. The integrated computing system configuration method of claim 10 , wherein the one design element comprises a personality representing a type of behavior that the one design element is to provide in the customized integrated computing system configuration, the integrated computing system configuration method further comprising applying the remedial action according to the personality of the one design element.

12. The integrated computing system configuration method of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of remedial actions comprise at least one of adding an additional design element to the customized integrated computing system configuration, removing an existing design element in the customized integrated computing system configuration, or modifying a personality of the existing design element in the customized integrated computing system configuration.
