Abstract

A system for enabling mobile transactions by service provider applications consuming wallet functions and wallet functions using services of service provider applications includes a multi-tiered electronic mobile transaction platform having a plurality of wallet functions, a plurality of service provider applications, and a plurality of interfaces through which wallet functions and service provider applications interact to enable mobile transactions. The platform also includes a personalization interface of the platform through which a service provider can configure service provider applications that consume a portion of the wallet functions and an enabling interface of the platform through which the wallet functions access the services of the service provider applications. The platform also includes a service interface of the platform through which the service provider applications consume the services of the wallet functions.

Claims (27)

1 . A system for enabling mobile transactions by service provider applications consuming wallet functions and wallet functions using services of service provider applications, comprising:

a multi-tiered electronic mobile transaction platform having a plurality of wallet functions, a plurality of service provider applications, and a plurality of interfaces through which wallet functions and service provider applications interact to enable mobile transactions;

a personalization interface of the platform through which a service provider can configure service provider applications that consume a portion of the wallet functions;

an enabling interface of the platform through which the wallet functions access the services of the service provider applications; and

a service interface of the platform through which the service provider applications consume the services of the wallet functions.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the platform provides a runtime environment for the service provider applications.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the enabling interface provides access to a secure element of the platform.

4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein at least one of the service provider applications are accessible in the secure element.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein wallet function use of service provider application services comprises accessing a service provider application in a secure element of the platform, the service provider application being interpreted to facilitate communication between the wallet function and a service provider server connected remotely from the secure element over a network provider infrastructure.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises an interface to a secure element of the platform through which a service provider application consumes services of a wallet function.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises a service tier of the multi-tiered platform that enables delivery of service provider services.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises a library through which the wallet functions are configured.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises an interface to a security keys protected service provider-specific security domain of a secure element of the platform through which a service provider application of the service provider associated with the service provider security domain consumes services of a wallet function, wherein using the interface to access the service provider-specific security domain requires authorization to access the secure element and separate authorization based on the service provider-specific security domain security keys.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the enabling interface of the platform comprises a runtime environment for the service provider applications.

11 . A method for enabling mobile transactions by service provider applications consuming wallet functions and wallet functions using services of service provider applications, comprising:

configuring service provider applications to consume a portion of the wallet functions with a personalization interface of a multi-tiered electronic mobile transaction platform;

accessing with the wallet functions the services of the configured service provider applications through an enabling interface of the multi-tiered electronic mobile transaction platform; and

consuming with the configured service provider applications the services of the wallet functions through a service interface of the multi-tiered electronic mobile transaction platform, wherein the wallet functions and service provider applications interact to enable mobile transactions through a plurality of interfaces of the multi-tiered electronic mobile transaction platform, the plurality of interfaces comprising the personalization interface, the enabling interface, and the service interface.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the platform provides a runtime environment for the service provider applications.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the enabling interface provides access to a secure element of the platform.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein at least one of the service provider applications are accessible in the secure element.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein wallet function use of service provider application services comprises accessing a service provider application in a secure element of the platform, the service provider application being interpreted to facilitate communication between the wallet function and a service provider server connected remotely from the secure element over a network provider infrastructure.

16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises an interface to a secure element of the platform through which a service provider application consumes services of a wallet function.

17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises a service tier of the multi-tiered platform that enables delivery of service provider services.

18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises a library through which the wallet functions are configured.

19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of interfaces comprises an interface to a security keys protected service provider-specific security domain of a secure element of the platform through which a service provider application of the service provider associated with the service provider security domain consumes services of a wallet function, wherein using the interface to access the service provider-specific security domain requires authorization to access the secure element and separate authorization based on the service provider-specific security domain security keys.

20 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the enabling interface of the platform comprises a runtime environment for the service provider applications.
