ELECTRONIC SMOKING DEVICE
An electronic cigarette has a housing including a battery compartment, a rechargeable battery arranged inside the battery compartment. The battery has two end surfaces opposed along a central axis and a peripheral surface connecting the end surfaces. Battery terminals are arranged on at least one end surface. A holding member exerts a holding force against the peripheral surface of the battery and securely holds the battery inside the battery compartment, even if the size of the battery changes.
1 . An electronic cigarette, comprising:
a housing including a battery compartment;
a rechargeable battery arranged inside the battery compartment, wherein the battery comprises two end surfaces opposed along a central axis and a peripheral surface connecting the end surfaces and wherein battery terminals are provided on at least one of the end surfaces; and
a holding member biased against the peripheral surface of the battery and adapted to secure the battery inside the battery compartment regardless of a change of size of the battery.
2 . The electronic cigarette of claim 1 wherein the holding member comprises elastic material.
3 . The electronic cigarette of claim 1 wherein the holding member comprises a spring.
