Abstract

The present disclosure provides nanocrystal(s) containing silicone capping agent(s). Dispersions containing the nanocrystal(s) and at least one of silicone monomer(s), silicone pre-polymer(s), and silicone polymer(s), and optionally additionally containing a solvent are also described. Cured dispersions, compositions of nanocrystal(s) and LEDs and related structures containing the composition(s) are provided in the present disclosure.

Claims (21)

1. A dispersion comprised of zirconia nanocrystals capped with a silicone capping agent in a solvent, wherein a 50 weight percent sample of the dispersion in the solvent in a 1 cm cuvette has a normal transmittance in the range of 5-99% as measured in a spectrophotometer at 350 nm.

2. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 40-60%.

3. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 5-10%.

4. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 10-15%.

5. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 15-20%.

6. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 20-25%.

7. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 25-30%.

8. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 30-35%.

9. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 35-40%.

10. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 40-45%.

11. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 45-50%.

12. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 50-55%.

13. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 55-60%.

14. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 60-65%.

15. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 65-70%.

16. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 70-75%.

17. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 75-80%.

18. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 80-85%.

19. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 85-90%.

20. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 90-95%.

21. The dispersion of claim 1 wherein said normal transmittance is in the range of 95-99%.
