Abstract

This application discloses a process to synthesize 8-({1-(3,5-Bis-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-ethoxy)-methyl]-8-pheny-1,7-diazaspiro[4.5]decan-2-one comprising reacting a compound of the Formula 27a-sulfonate with zinc in the presence of acetic acid.

Claims (3)

1. A compound of the formula:

R 1 is cyclic alkyl having up to 6 carbon atoms, phenyl, 2-methoxy-ethyl, 2 (dimethylamino)ethyl, (L)-menthyl, (D)-menthyl, dimethylamide, (R) benzyl-oxazolidinonamide, (S)-benzyl-oxazolidinonamide, isobornyl, cis-pinan-2-yl, isopinocampheyl, adamantylmethyl, 2-adamantyl, 1-adamantyl, or (−)-8 phenylmenthyl.
