Methods of treating retroviral infections and related dosage regimes
View Patent ↗The present invention relates to compounds and methods for treating retroviral infections and/or Hepatitis B viral infections. Some compounds of the invention are described by Formula I: or a stereoisomer, a diastereomer, an enantiomer or racemate thereof.
1. A method of treating a hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in a primate subject, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the structure:
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
wherein the compound is administered daily or weekly in an amount of about 25 mg to about 2000 mg.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject is also infected with HIV.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound is administered as a single dose, once daily.
