Abstract

A plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprise a primary PUCCH group comprising a primary cell and a secondary PUCCH group comprising a PUCCH secondary cell. The wireless device restarts a deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell if a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on any secondary cell in the secondary PUCCH group indicates an uplink grant or a downlink assignment. The wireless device deactivates the PUCCH secondary cell if the deactivation timer expires.

Claims (51)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, at least one message comprising:

configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, the plurality of cells grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprising:

a primary PUCCH group comprising a primary cell with a primary PUCCH transmitted to the base station; and

a secondary PUCCH group comprising a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH transmitted to the base station; and

a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell;

restarting the deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell in response to:

a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on any secondary cell, other than the PUCCH secondary cell, in the secondary PUCCH group indicating an uplink grant or a downlink assignment; or

a PDCCH on a cell scheduling any secondary cell, other than the PUCCH secondary cell, in the secondary PUCCH group indicating an uplink grant or a downlink assignment for any secondary cell, other than the PUCCH secondary cell, in the secondary PUCCH group; and

deactivating the PUCCH secondary cell if the deactivation timer expires.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising maintaining configuration of PUCCH resources of the PUCCH secondary cell when the PUCCH secondary cell is deactivated.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one message further comprises configuration parameters of PUCCH resources of the PUCCH secondary cell.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one message maps each of the plurality of secondary cells to one of the primary PUCCH group or the secondary PUCCH group.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting on the PUCCH secondary cell at least one of the following:

channel state information;

positive acknowledgement and negative acknowledgement; and

a scheduling request.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein cross carrier scheduling of a cell in the primary PUCCH group is only configurable for another cell in the primary PUCCH group.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein cross carrier scheduling of a cell in the secondary PUCCH group is only configurable for another cell in the secondary PUCCH group.

8. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, at least one message comprising:

configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, the plurality of cells being grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprising:

a primary PUCCH group comprising a primary cell with a primary PUCCH transmitted to the base station; and

a secondary PUCCH group comprising a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH transmitted to the base station; and

a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell;

restarting the deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell in response to a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on any secondary cell, other than the PUCCH secondary cell in the secondary PUCCH group indicating an uplink grant or a downlink assignment; and

deactivating the PUCCH secondary cell if the deactivation timer expires.

9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising maintaining configuration of PUCCH resources of the PUCCH secondary cell when the PUCCH secondary cell is deactivated.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the at least one message further comprises configuration parameters of PUCCH resources of the PUCCH secondary cell.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the at least one message maps each of the plurality of secondary cells to one of the primary PUCCH group or the secondary PUCCH group.

12. The method of claim 8 , further comprising transmitting on the PUCCH secondary cell at least one of the following:

channel state information;

positive acknowledgement and negative acknowledgement; and

a scheduling request.

13. The method of claim 8 , wherein cross carrier scheduling of a cell in the primary PUCCH group is only configurable for another cell in the primary PUCCH group.

14. The method of claim 8 , wherein cross carrier scheduling of a cell in the secondary PUCCH group is only configurable for another cell in the secondary PUCCH group.

15. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to

receive, from a base station, at least one message comprising:

configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, the plurality of cells grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprising:

a primary PUCCH group comprising a primary cell with a primary PUCCH transmitted to the base station; and

a secondary PUCCH group comprising a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH transmitted to the base station; and

a deactivation timer value for a deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell;

restart the deactivation timer of the PUCCH secondary cell in response to a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on any secondary cell, other than the PUCCH secondary cell in the secondary PUCCH group indicating an uplink grant or a downlink assignment; and

deactivate the PUCCH secondary cell if the deactivation timer expires.

16. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the wireless device to maintain configuration of PUCCH resources of the PUCCH secondary cell when the PUCCH secondary cell is deactivated.

17. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein the at least one message further comprises configuration parameters of PUCCH resources of the PUCCH secondary cell.

18. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein the at least one message maps each of the plurality of secondary cells to one of the primary PUCCH group or the secondary PUCCH group.

19. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein cross carrier scheduling of a cell in the primary PUCCH group is only configurable for another cell in the primary PUCCH group.

20. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein cross carrier scheduling of a cell in the secondary PUCCH group is only configurable for another cell in the secondary PUCCH group.
