Abstract

Disclosed are various embodiments for illuminated medical infusion including external source of illumination for an illuminated medical infusion system including an illuminator integrated into an attachment; wherein the attachment is adapted to direct the illuminator to a light transmission channel of an illuminating infusion line.

Claims (14)

1 . An external source of illumination for an illuminated medical infusion system comprising:

an illuminator integrated into an attachment; wherein the attachment is adapted to direct the illuminator to a light transmission channel of an illuminating infusion line.

2 . The source of illumination of claim 1 wherein the attachment includes a clip adapted to attach to the exterior of an illuminating infusion line and wherein the illuminator is integrated in the clip such that the illuminator is directed to the light transmission channel when the clip is clipped onto the illuminating infusion line.

3 . The source of illumination of claim 1 wherein the illuminator further comprises a source of photoluminesce.

4 . The source of illumination of claim 1 wherein the illuminator further comprises a source of light.

5 . The source of illumination of claim 1 wherein the illuminator further comprises a light emitting diode.

6 . The source of illumination of claim 1 wherein the illuminator further comprises a source of laser light.

7 . A source of illumination for an illuminating medical infusion system comprising:

a handheld body; and

illuminator integrated into the handheld body and adapted to be directed by a user to an illuminating medical infusion line.

8 . The source of illumination of claim 7 wherein the illuminator further comprises a source of photoluminesce.

9 . The source of illumination of claim 7 wherein the illuminator further comprises a source of light.

10 . The source of illumination of claim 7 wherein the illuminator further comprises a light emitting diode.

11 . The source of illumination of claim 7 wherein the illuminator further comprises a source of laser light.
