21 . A method of treating dermatological tissue, comprising:

placing a device including a plurality of pins extending from an inner surface of a distal end of the device on or near dermatological tissue to be treated and applying a force sufficient to cause at least a first and a second pin of the plurality of pins having a length and shape to penetrate the dermatological tissue; and

directing a signal generator electrically coupled to the first pin and electrically coupled to the second pin to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin to affect dermatological tissue near the first pin and the second pin.

The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , wherein the first and the second pin of the plurality of pins have a length and shape to enable each pin to penetrate to a dermal layer of the dermatological tissue, placing the device on or near dermatological tissue to be treated, and applying a force sufficient to cause the first and the second pin of the plurality of pins to penetrate to a dermal layer of dermatological tissue.

23 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , the method including directing the signal generator to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin, the first pin and second pin forming a bipolar pair.

24 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , the method including directing the signal generator to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin to form a bipolar pair and affect dermatological tissue near the bipolar pair.

25 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , the method including directing the signal generator to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin, the first pin and second pin forming a dipole pair.

26 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , the method including directing the signal generator to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin to form a dipole pair and affect dermatological tissue near the dipole pair.

27 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , the method including directing the signal generator to produce periodic pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin for a predetermined time interval, each pulse having a width.

28 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 27 , wherein predetermined time interval is about 100 ms to 500 ms.

29 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 28 , wherein the pulse width is about 100 microseconds to 500 microseconds.

30 . The method of treating dermatological tissue of claim 21 , wherein the first pin and the second pin are adjacent pins.

31 . An apparatus for treating dermatological tissue, comprising:

a device including a plurality of pins extending from an inner surface of a distal end of the device on or near dermatological tissue to be treated and applying a force sufficient to cause at least a first and a second pin of the plurality of pins having a length and shape to penetrate the dermatological tissue; and

a signal generator electrically coupled to the first pin and electrically coupled to the second pin, the generator configured to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin to affect dermatological tissue near the first pin and the second pin.

32 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the first and the second pin of the plurality of pins have a length and shape to enable each pin to penetrate to a dermal layer of the dermatological tissue.

33 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the signal generator is configured to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin, the first pin and second pin forming a bipolar pair.

34 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the signal generator is configured to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin, the first pin and second pin to form a bipolar pair and affect dermatological tissue near the bipolar pair.

35 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the signal generator is configured to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin, the first pin and second pin forming a dipole pair.

36 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the signal generator is configured to produce pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin to form a dipole pair and affect dermatological tissue near the dipole pair.

37 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the signal generator is configured to produce periodic pulsed signals across the first pin and the second pin for a predetermined time interval, each pulse having a width.

38 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 37 , wherein predetermined time interval is about 100 ms to 500 ms.

39 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 38 , wherein the pulse width is about 100 microseconds to 500 microseconds.

40 . The apparatus for treating dermatological tissue of claim 31 , wherein the first pin and the second pin are adjacent pins.
