Abstract

The engine controlling apparatus includes a selector and a changer. The selector selects one of a plurality of injection modes according to the operating condition of an engine, where injection rates of a plurality of injectors differ among the injection modes. The changer changes a map specifying a reference value of a detection signal detected by a first sensor according to the injection mode.

Claims (16)

1. An engine controlling apparatus for performing feedback control of a fuel injection amount according to a detection signal from a first sensor that detects an actual air-fuel ratio, the engine including a first injector for supplying fuel directly into a cylinder and a second injector for supplying fuel in an intake air passage, the engine controlling apparatus comprising:

a selector configured to select one of a plurality of injection modes according to an operating condition of the engine; and

a changer configured to change a map according to the selected injection mode, the map specifying a reference air-fuel ratio of the detection signal wherein

the injection modes include a split injection mode and a single injection mode, fuel being injected from the first injector by a plurality of separate injections in one stroke of the engine and from the second injector in the split injection mode, fuel being injected from the first injector by a single injection in one stroke of the engine and from the second injector in the single injection mode, and

the reference air-fuel ratio of the single injection mode is set richer as a timing of fuel injected by the first injector is retarded, and

wherein fuel is injected from the first injector based on the set reference air-fuel ratio.

2. The engine controlling apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the injection modes include a first mode and a second mode different from the first mode, an injection rate of a first injector being equal to or higher than an injection rate of a second injector in the first mode, and

the changer changes the map so that the reference air-fuel ratio of the first mode is in a richer side compared to the reference air-fuel ratio of the second mode.

3. The engine controlling apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the changer changes the map so as the reference air-fuel ratio of the split injection mode to be in a richer side than the reference air-fuel ratio of the single injection mode.

4. The engine controlling apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a controller configured to calculate a feedback correction amount according to a difference between the detection signal from the first sensor and the reference air-fuel ratio and to control the fuel injection amount using the feedback correction amount.

5. The engine controlling apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein

the engine includes a second sensor that detects oxygen concentration in exhaust gas, and

the controller corrects the reference air-fuel ratio according to the oxygen concentration detected by the second sensor.
