Abstract

The invention relates to compounds of formula (I), wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 are as defined in the claims. The invention further provides compositions which comprise these compounds and to their use in agriculture or horticulture for controlling or preventing infestation of plants by phytopathogenic microorganisms, preferably fungi.

Claims (40)

1. A compound of formula (I)

wherein

R 1 represents bromide;

R 2 represents n-propyl;

R 3 and R 4 independently of each other represent hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl; or

R 3 and R 4 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a 3-6-membered saturated cyclic group;

R 5 represents H; and

R 6 represents C 1 alkyl;

or a tautomer, isomer, enantiomer, salt or N-oxide thereof.

2. The compound according to claim 1 wherein

R 3 and R 4 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a 3-6-membered saturated cyclic group.

3. The compound according to claim 1 wherein

R 3 and R 4 independently of each other represent, C 1 -C 3 alkyl or C 3 - 5 cycloalkyl.

4. The compound according to claim 1 wherein

R 3 and R 4 independently of each other represent methyl, ethyl, isopropyl or cyclopropyl.

5. The compound according to claim 1 wherein

R 3 is methyl; and

R 4 is methyl or ethyl.

6. The compound according to claim 1 wherein

R 3 represents hydrogen or methyl; and

R 4 is ethyl.

7. The compound according to claim 1 wherein

R 3 represents methyl; and

R 4 is ethyl.

8. The compound according to claim 4 wherein

R 3 represents methyl; and

R 4 is isopropyl.

9. The compound according to claim 4 wherein

R 3 represents methyl; and

R 4 is cyclopropy.

10. A composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of the compound as defined in claim 1 and at least one additional inert ingredient.

11. A method of controlling or preventing phytopathogenic diseases on useful plants or on propagation material thereof, which comprises applying to the useful plants, the locus thereof or propagation material thereof a fungicidally effective amount of the compound as defined in claim 1 .

12. The composition of claim 10 , further comprising at least one additional pesticidal active ingredient.

13. A compound selected from the group consisting of:

N′-[5-bromo-2-methyl-6-[(1S)-1-methyl-2-propoxy-ethoxy]-3 -pyridyl]-N-ethyl-N-methyl-formamidine;

N′-[5 -bromo-2-methyl-6-[(1R)- 1-methyl-2-propoxy-ethoxy]-3 -pyridyl]-N-ethyl-N-methyl-formamidine;

N′-[5-bromo-2-methyl-6-[1-methyl-2-propoxy-ethoxy]-3 -pyridyl]-N-isopropyl-N-methyl-formamidine;

N′-[5-bromo-2-methyl-6-[1-methyl-2-propoxy-ethoxy]-3-pyridyl]-N-ethyl-N-methyl-formamidine;

N′-[5-bromo-2-methyl-6-[1-methyl-2-propoxy-ethoxy]-3-pyridyl]-N-cyclopropyl-N-methyl-formamidine; and

1-(azetidin-1-yl)-N-[5-bromo-2-methyl-6-(1-methyl-2-propoxy-ethoxy)-3-pyridyl]methanimine.
