Abstract

A wireless device receives at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells. The at least one message comprises a deactivation timer value for at least one deactivation timer of a plurality of secondary cells. The wireless device receives a scheduling packet for a group of cells and/or a group of subframes. The wireless device restarts one or more deactivation timers.

Claims (35)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, wherein the configuration parameters comprise:

a deactivation timer value for at least one deactivation timer of the plurality of secondary cells; and

at least one parameter indicating that a group of cells comprises a first plurality of secondary cells of the plurality of secondary cells;

receiving a scheduling packet for transmission of one or more packets via the group of cells comprising the first plurality of secondary cells; and

restarting each deactivation timer corresponding to each of the first plurality of secondary cells in response to receiving the scheduling packet.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the scheduling packet indicates one or more resource allocations and one or more transmission formats for the one or more packets transmitted on the first plurality of secondary cells.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising transmitting the one or more packets to a base station.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the scheduling packet indicates one or more resource allocations and one or more transmission formats for one or more packets received on the first plurality of secondary cells.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising receiving the one or more packets from a base station.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising maintaining each deactivation timer for each of the first plurality of secondary cells.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the scheduling packet is received on a downlink physical control channel.

8. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, wherein the configuration parameters comprise a deactivation timer value for at least one deactivation timer of the plurality of secondary cells;

receiving a scheduling packet for a group of subframes of a secondary cell in the plurality of secondary cells, the group of subframes starting with a first subframe and ending with a last subframe; and

restarting a deactivation timer associated with the secondary cell in the last subframe in response to receiving the scheduling packet.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the scheduling packet comprises a number of subframes in the group of subframes.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the scheduling packet comprises one or more indexes indicating one or more subframes in the group of subframes.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the scheduling packet indicates one or more resource allocations and one or more transmission formats for one or more packets transmitted in the group of subframes.

12. The method of claim 11 , further comprising transmitting the one or more packets to a base station.

13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the scheduling packet indicates one or more resource allocations and one or more transmission formats for one or more packets received in the group of subframes.

14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising receiving the one or more packets from a base station.

15. The method of claim 8 , further comprising maintaining the deactivation timer for the secondary cell.

16. The method of claim 8 , further comprising transmitting the scheduling packet on a downlink physical control channel.

17. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the wireless device to:

receive at least one message comprising:

configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a plurality of secondary cells, wherein the configuration parameters comprise:

a deactivation timer value for at least one deactivation timer of the plurality of secondary cells; and

at least one parameter indicating that a group of cells comprises a first plurality of secondary cells of the plurality of secondary cells;

receive a scheduling packet for transmission of one or more packets via the group of cells comprising the first plurality of secondary cells; and

restart each deactivation timer corresponding to each of the first plurality of secondary cells in response to receiving the scheduling packet.

18. The wireless device of claim 17 , further comprising maintaining each deactivation timer for each of the first plurality of secondary cells.

19. The wireless device of claim 17 , wherein the scheduling packet is received on a downlink.
