Abstract

A liquid crystal display panel includes a substrate, a thin film transistor array, a circuit, and a dummy circuit. One surface of the substrate is divided into a display region and a wiring region. The thin film transistor array is formed on the display region. The circuit and the dummy circuit are formed on the wiring region, the dummy circuit is adjacent to the circuit, and the circuit and the dummy circuit protrude from the substrate.

Claims (32)

1. A display panel, comprising:

a substrate having a surface, wherein the surface has a display region and a wiring region located outside of the display region, and the display region has a first edge;

a thin film transistor array formed on the display region;

a plurality of first circuits formed on the wiring region and adjacent to the first edge of the display region, wherein the first circuits are electrically connected to the thin film transistor array, and a first distance is the distance between two adjacent circuits of the first circuits; and

a plurality of first support structures formed on the wiring region and adjacent to the first edge, wherein at least one of the first support structures has no electrical connection with the thin film transistor array, wherein at least one group of first circuits is arranged between two group of the first support structures, and a second distance is the distance between one of the first circuits and one of the first support structure, and the one of the first circuits and the one of the first support structure are adjacent to each other, and the first distance is different from the second distance.

2. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a distance between two adjacent circuits of the first circuits closer to the display region is larger than that farther from the display region.

3. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising:

an other support structure region formed on the wiring region, wherein the other support structure region has a first width at a first end farther from the display region and a second width at a second end closer to the display region, and the first width is larger than the second width.

4. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first support structure comprises a first pattern formed on the substrate, a first insulation layer formed on the first pattern, and a first conduction layer formed on the first insulation layer.

5. The display panel as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a material of the first conduction layer comprises indium tin oxide.

6. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising:

a second support structure disposed between the first support structure and an edge of the substrate, wherein the second support structure has no electrical connection with the thin film transistor array.

7. The display panel as claimed in claim 6 , wherein at least one of the first support structure and the second support structure is dummy support structure.

8. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first support structure is disposed at a corner of the substrate.

9. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , wherein one of the first support structures is formed to have the same structure as one of the first circuit.

10. The display panel as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the first circuits protruding from the surface of the substrate is substantially equal to a thickness of the first support structures.

11. A display panel, comprising:

a substrate having a surface, wherein the surface has a display region and a wiring region located outside of the display region, and the display region has a first edge;

a thin film transistor array formed on the display region;

a plurality of first circuits formed on the wiring region and adjacent to the first edge of the display region, wherein the first circuits are electrically connected to the thin film transistor array, and a first distance is the distance between two adjacent circuits of the first circuits; and

a plurality of first support structures formed on the wiring region and adjacent to the first edge, wherein at least one of the first support structures has no electrical connection with the thin film transistor array, wherein one of first circuits is arranged between two of the first support structures, and a second distance is the distance between one of the first circuits and one of the first support structure, and the one of the first circuits and the one of the first support structure are adjacent to each other, the first distance is different from the second distance.

12. The display panel as claimed in claim 11 , wherein a distance between two adjacent circuits of the first circuits closer to the display region is larger than that farther from the display region.

13. The display panel as claimed in claim 11 , further comprising:

an other support structure region formed on the wiring region, wherein the other support structure region has a first width at a first end farther from the display region and a second width at a second end closer to the display region, and the first width is larger than the second width.

14. The display panel as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the first support structure comprises a first pattern formed on the substrate, a first insulation layer formed on the first pattern, and a first conduction layer formed on the first insulation layer.

15. The display panel as claimed in claim 14 , wherein a material of the first conduction layer comprises indium tin oxide.

16. The display panel as claimed in claim 11 , further comprising:

a second support structure disposed between the first support structure and an edge of the substrate, wherein the second support structure has no electrical connection with the thin film transistor array.

17. The display panel as claimed in claim 16 , wherein at least one of the first support structure and the second support structure is dummy support structure.

18. The display panel as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the first support structure is disposed at a corner of the substrate.
