CUSTOMISATION OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The operation of a mobile electronic device is controlled at least partially in accordance with operating characteristics adopted while the phone is at a first location. 1 . An apparatus, comprising:
at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to:
store at least one dynamic card wherein a card comprises content,
provide a user interface that enables a user to view at least one of the cards,
estimate the location of the apparatus,
update the content of the at least one dynamic card dependent upon the location of the apparatus.
2 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , further configured to update the dynamic card dependent upon the location of the apparatus.
3 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , further configured wherein the user can request to receive content to update the at least one dynamic card.
4 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , further configured to automatically receive the content related to the at least one dynamic card dependent upon the location of the apparatus.
5 . An apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the dynamic card is updated based on user preferences stored within the memory of the apparatus.
6 . An apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the dynamic card belongs to a subscription service.
7 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the dynamic card is associated with a service provider and the apparatus is configured to receive information that is held by the service provider.
8 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a controller configured to refresh the dynamic card dependent upon the location of the apparatus.
9 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , further configured to download dynamic cards.
10 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the apparatus is configured to download dynamic cards in advance of arriving at a location.
11 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the dynamic cards are provided by service providers.
12 . An apparatus as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the dynamic cards are received based on a user subscription or a user preference held within the memory of the apparatus.
13 . A method for updating the content of a dynamic card in a electronic device comprising:
storing at least one dynamic card wherein a card comprises content,
providing a user interface that enables a user to view at least one of the cards,
estimating the location of the electronic device,
updating the content of the at least one dynamic card dependent upon the location of the electronic device.
14 . A method as claimed in claim 13 , further comprising a user request to update the content of the at least one dynamic card.
15 . A method as claimed in claim 13 , further comprising automatically receiving the content related to the at least one dynamic card dependent upon the location of the electronic device.
16 . A method as claimed in claim 13 , further comprising refreshing the content of the dynamic card dependent upon the location of the electronic device.
17 . A method as claimed in claim 13 , further comprising, downloading dynamic cards.
18 . A method as claimed in claim 17 , wherein the downloading of dynamic cards is in advance of arriving at a location.
19 . A method as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the dynamic cards are received based on a user subscription or a user preference held within the memory of the electronic device.
